I guess I fell asleep. Because as soon as I woke up, Jack was gone. I look around, and all I can see is popcorn on the carpet and the ending credits. I check the time and its only 2AM. Then, I hear a phone ring, it was coming from Jack's phone. Slowly, I hop off the couch and see who it might be. I called down Jack but there was no response. I think Jack knew that this was coming so he ran. I took a couple of deep breaths and clicked "accept" and hear a gruffy voice appear on the end of the line. Cautiously, I keep my answers as short as possible. As soon as the call ended, Jack appeared downstairs and he looked furious. He started to yell at me saying that I should never touch his phone unless I have permission to, and I argued back that I did call his name but there was no response. He then asked what the person on the phone said, and I replied with "I dunno who this "Jack" is called, but I think you got the wrong number" I knew I shouldn't of said that because that made him even more furious, he literally started have a big tantrum in front of my face (okay okay, I tried to resist laughing) and he then had a mental breakdown and it was ALL MY FAULT. I felt a pain of guilt creeping up my spine, so leaving him as he is, I went upstairs and closed my door. An hour passed and neither of us had emerged from our spot. I ruffled through some pages of my "use to be" old diary and then, I heard a noise.
I look up, and Jack was standing there. I don't have a clue how he got through the door, but I guess he just popped out of nowhere. I nod to him to stay quiet, as I think he must of heard it too so he ran up to get me. We both flung ourselves down stairs and as I head for the door, Jack grabs his gun. I don't have much protection on, so I scavange for some things to try and protect me with. I grab my nearest gun and approach the door. I load up my gun and prepare for fire. Then, smoke started to appear from out of the stove. Its too late... It's gone. I hear a stomp near our front door and I signal Jack and we both started firing. Glass exploded everywhere, and I knew that when my parents came back, I would have to do a lot of explaining. We shot down a couple of people, and we knew that there would be more to come. We werent expecting that the second lot to have weapons but they did. Not only that but we were also outnumbered.
I gulp as we start shooting the second lot, we are nearly out of ammo and there were beyond hundreds of people trying to capture us.
I nod to Jack to tell him the best plan now is to make a run. His expression hasn't changed when we first shot down the people, so I assume that its an "okay sure, i'll be behind you" sort of thing. Well, that's what I thought. Instead, he pulls me back far enough so that the people are too far away to shoot us, and then we have a small talk. In the end, we are going to part ways and meet up somewhere and hopefully things will turn back to normal. The more I think about it, my heart pumps faster, and my brain is literally having a rage at me. I don't think it will end well. And I don't think we can find back Sam.
