The things I first thought he might have were
• Sociopathy (Antisocial personality disorder)
• Conduct disorder
• Borderline Personality Disorder
• Oppositional defiant disorder

These were the ones that I came up with at first thought, but I'm going to rule out Sociopathy because of his lack of charisma, and he is shown to have empathy for others.

I'm going to keep conduct disorder for now, because it describes him really well. It is also curable and *people* normally grow out of it by adulthood, but left untreated can turn into Antisocial personality disorder.

Since BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder) is a mental disorder characterized by unstable moods, behavior and relationships, I'm going to keep it.

I am not going to even go over the last disorder, cause I think I found the most likely one. I'm going to toss conduct disorder because I feel BPD describes Breezepelt even better.

BPD is: a learned disorder, the symptoms are:
• Fear of abandonment ☆
• Unstable Relationships ☆
• Unclear or shifting self-image ☆
• Impulsive, self-destructive
behaviors ☆
• Self-harm
• Extreme emotional swings ☆
• Choronic Feelings of emptiness ☆
• Feeling suspicious or out of touch from reality ☆

I put a star next to each one I felt Breezepelt has displayed. Which includes everyone except self-halm, but he is a cat, so...
I will go through the things he has done.
• Fear of abandonment: If I remember correctly, he has stated before that he resents his father for not paying enough attention to him, and that he felt that Crowfeather liked his other kits more. I think that could fall in this category.
• Unstable relationships: this one is obvious enough. He has (or used to) resent and almost hate his father, and he kind of detaches himself from cats other then his mother. Even his relationship with his mother used to be obsessive and toxic.
• Unclear or shifting self-image: I had trouble finding examples of this one, so I'll pass.
• Impulsive, self-destructive behavior: I feel the fact that he joined and stayed on the Dark Forest's side could fall into this.
• Extreme emotional swings: once again I feel this one is obvious, and I don't feel like explaining because there are multiple examples.
• Chronic feeling of emptiness: I think (I am writing these events from memory) that he has displayed self-loathsome behavior.
• Feeling suspicious or out of touch from reality: I know that he had trouble trusting WindClan.

BPD is caused by: environmental factors. But it can also be predisposed by genetics (Crowfeather probably has Bipolar or BPD as well. Nightcloud might have OCPD or DPD) In Breezepelt's case it's probably both.
It can be caused by
• being a victim of any kind of abuse☆
• being exposed to long-term fear or distress as a child (kit, apprentice, young warrior)☆

Once again I star'd both of them because Breezepelt has been through both.
• from kitten to recently he has been emotionally neglected by his father, Crowfeather. With his mother almost turning Breezepelt against him.
• He has displayed symptoms of distress multiple times.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Another reason I chose BPD is because it is completely curable. Recently, in Crowfeather's Trial, we see his behavior begin to change, and he forms stronger, healthier connections with other cats. Even in the beginning of the book, before he made peace with his father, he had already started to show healthier behavior. He had a very strong connection with Heathertail, and the relationship with Nigthcloud was much less toxic and obsessive.

The end lmao.
