Hermione woke up disorientated. Her mouth felt dark and dry. Where was she? It was dark still – but her watch read half-past five. She calmed as she remembered she was staying at the Weasley's. It was, after all, the Christmas holidays. Her head was pounding as she remembered that she had probably been drinking far too much. As she leant over to grab the glass of water by her bedside she noticed that her glass wasn't on her bedside table. It also wasn't her bedside table, and she was in someone else's bed.

Maybe it's ... Ginny? She thought hopefully. She realised, however, that it was not Ginny as she and Ginny did not share a double bed. The events of the night before flooded back.

Oh my God, what have I done?! Hermione thought in a panic.

They were having a Christmas celebration a few days before the 25th December at the Weasley's house. Harry, Ron, Ginny and Hermione had got back from Hogwarts earlier that week and were excited to finally be able to have a year at school without the threat of Voldemort. To celebrate this fact and mark it, Remus and Tonks had come, as had Sirius, and a few other old Order members. All the Weasley clan were together and Molly Weasley couldn't be happier, hosting such an occasion.

It all started innocently enough, but now that all the household was of age, alcohol was flowing freely. Butterbeer to start, Elf Wine, a fair amount of Champagne (Fleur had brought it) and then Odgen's Firewhiskey came out. At some point, Hermione thought she could remember dancing... or were they playing a game... she couldn't recall. What she did remember however was Sirius looking at her in a way that she never thought possible from him, and she didn't seem to mind in her inebriation.

She looked at the black locks that were her bed-fellow's and surveyed him for a moment to see if the person they were attached to would stir if she removed herself from the situation. What on earth had possessed her to climb into Sirius' bed? Sirius Black! Playboy extraordinaire. Harry's godfather and old enough to be hers for that matter. Glancing at the door and then Sirius again, she gently climbed out of bed and made a run for the door, desperately hoping Sirius wouldn't stir.

As she gently shut the door behind her, Hermione let out a quiet sigh of relief. Hopefully, everyone was as drunk as she was last night and wouldn't remember anything.

As she crawled back into her own bed, she necked her glass of water and took two tablets to ward off the impending hangover as she settled back to sleep. Glancing over at the bed next to her Ginny looked fast asleep. "Perfect" Hermione thought, at least she wouldn't have to explain where she was.

Hermione woke up to the sound of thump thump thump. It felt as if someone was hitting her over the head. Why won't it stop she thought. Groggily, she realised that it was not her head but the door that was being pounded.

"Hermione, are you coming down to breakfast?" It was Harry.
