I promise that one day
I'll be around, I'll keep you safe
I'll keep you soundMal was the best thing she had ever been given. What did she do for fate to take her away from her so soon? Eyes stained with fresh new emotions, Evie kept on reading the same page of the only thing she thought she had left of her girl again and again.
Her best friend, her rock, her undeniable soulmate. Why did she have to leave her so soon?
Sometimes, Evie wished it was her instead of the purple haired memory. That's what her whole world was at that moment. A memory.
Right now it's pretty crazy
And I don't know how to stop
Or slow it downMemories began to flash through Evie's mind. Memories of how her heart used to beat so fast for the girl, and how stupid she was to only accept her feelings after the girl was gone.
Memories of how they used to hold hands on the way to school. Memories of how they were forced to let go when near Dragon Hall, fearing that someone would see them and tell their parents about how their two precious little daughters were close to one another. Memories of how relieved and happy the both of them were when their mothers finally put their rivalry behind them, even if it was for an evil alliance they had made.
The memories went on and on. From their first sneak out together, to their last 'Hello's. From their first sleepover, to the time they slept under the pirates' deck just to get away from their crazy households. From the first time the both of them tried ice cream, to the last time they saw each other.
If only had Evie known what would happen that day, she wouldn't have ever let Mal out of her house.
I know there are some things we need to talk about
And I can't stay
Just let me hold you for a little longer now"She's not breathing! Someone help!" Carlos screamed with all of his power.
She was laying there, heartbeat lost, travelling the world, only to find its way back to a paralyzed blue haired teenager.
People ignored their cries for help, as a wounded purple haired girl lay on the cold, beaten up concrete. Some people went as far as saying it was her time to go, that she deserved it, and that it happens all the time on the Isle.
It made Evie sick to her stomach, not that she realized it. She could not move. She could not speak. She could not properly hear. She could not process what was unfolding before her very eyes. She thought that she was the one who died for a brief moment.
"This is not real. This can't be true" she let out a trembling cry.
And oh, how true it was.
Evie started sobbing again, burring her head in her knees once again, letting out rocky breaths one by one again. Again and again. She took the girl's diary and started ripping it to pieces, the song Mal wrote for her still stuck in her head.
