YOUNG SCIENTIST DISCOVERS POSSIBLE CURE FOR LOU GEHRIG’S
By Hanna Trey
Jackson, Mississippi –
Uriah Winston, age 28, has discovered a possible cure for Lou Gehrig’s Disease, in his hometown of Jackson, Mississippi.
Winston graduated from the Jackson University of Science in 2015. It was there that he became interested in the nerve-riddling disease, and began to search into it. After graduation, he continued in his studies at the Jackson Center of Medical Science. Lou Gehrig’s has remained cureless since its discovery in DATE, and the search for a cure has been going on for years. Winston, however, may finally put the search to rest.
I was granted with a talk with the scientist in question.
“My mother’s had Lou Gehrig’s for as long as I can remember,” said Winston. “It was a constant battle, a struggle for her to get out of bed every morning. I knew I wanted to change that, so of course it’s what I wanted to look into.”
Upon asked about the cure, Winston refused any detail, but told me this:
“I’m still looking into it, with an entire team at my work now. It’s looking good, and with all the people getting involved, I think we have something that can change the world.”

WHATS GOING DOWN W/ TRINITY BARKLEY
7/12/15
BARKLEY: And as I’m sure you are all aware, a particular resident of Mississippi has just discovered a cure for Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
[AUDIENCE CHEERS]
BARKLEY: If you like that, you’ll love our next guest. Ladies and gentleman, please welcome Uriah Winston.
[WINSTON WALKS ONTO SET]
[AUDIENCE CHEERS]
BARKLEY: I am so glad you could make it here tonight, Winston.
WINSTON: Believe me, I am too.
BARKLEY: You’re coming to be quite the celebrity now, aren’t you? How’s that going for you?
WINSTON: It’s not too bad
BARKLEY: Oh?
WINSTON: I mean, I’m not being assaulted by cameras everywhere I go.
[AUDIENCE LAUGHS]
BARKLEY: Sounds hassling.
WINSTON: I’m really not getting too much attention.
BARKLEY: I know I’m not allowed to ask for specific details, but can you tell us how you found this blessing to mankind?
WINSTON: I just did a lot of observing. I only ever read any updates on the Lou Gehrig improvement, y’know? It’s all I asked about.
BARKLEY: Does your mother inspire you for your work?
WINSTON: Definitely, definitely. She’s the reason I do this. I’ve wanted to help her since I was a kid.
BARKLEY: Was it hard? Having to see your mother go through that?
WINSTON: Very hard. I was there every step of the way. I almost didn’t graduate high school, I was gone so many days to help her out. It’s just a struggle, y’know? She can do the little things, like hold a cup or change the television channel. But other things, like getting up and out of bed, eating, going to the bathroom, it’s terrible. My brother’s staying with her now.
