Me: HI Vex! *walks in with soul and my king slithering beside me* Soul was telling me about a mamba he was close to while he was here and I was hoping to adopt him.
*Vex smiles at you and comes around the desk to give you, Soul (your Chain), and Knight (your King) a hug. It's obvious that Soul has something on his mind though. He keeps glancing back over his shoulder towards the Mamba area of the shop. Vex nods, understanding immediately. "Go find him then," she encourages Soul, who immediately heads for the Mamba nests with you and Knight following behind him.
*Your Chain moves with purpose. He knows unerringly where his Mamba friend used to nest, and he's hoping the Mamba is still there. Suddenly, you see a flash of iridescent purple. A Mamba has pounced on your Chain. You and Knight rush forward, sure that Soul is being attacked, but when you get close you see that the Mamba is clinging to him. The Mamba gives you an angry glare out of tear filled eyes.
* "MINE!" he shrieks. "MINE! NO SSSSTEAL! I BITE!" Apparently the Mamba missed Soul quite a bit. Soul tries to comfort his friend while you explain that you want to adopt him so that he can live with Soul again. The offer seems to pacify him. He calms down but never loosens his grip on Soul, even when you fill out his adoption paperwork. He's not letting his friend disappear on him again!
