Confrontation

(BB's POV)

I was talking with Light about 'being' L, when an anomaly occurred.

I was waiting for Light to show some sort of shock at my confession, but he didn't. Instead he asked me about myself.

"I was born in an orphanage from the UK. Though, that fact alone won't lead you to the identity of L. And, as far as you know, I could be lying, Kira," I whispered to Light and saw that he was writing something down, not realizing that I called him 'Kira'. I followed and reversed the kanji in my mind and it read, 'Rue Ryuzaki, Traffic accident'.

I was obviously suspicious at the fact that Light was seemingly wishing death on me, but I wasn't worried. In fact, if Light was Kira, I would want to see how he kills.

About 40 seconds passed until one odd us says something again. "You know, I suspect you to be Kira. And, I'm wondering why you wrote my name beside traffic accident on a piece if paper. So, why did you do it? Even if you aren't Kira, I bet that you'll try to take a picture of me and send it to Kira, along with that piece of paper. For now, I'll take the paper," I said and held out my hand.

"Um...promise you won't hide from view, Ryuzaki?" Light said, pronouncing certain words, seeming to talk to someone, or something, else.

"I have no reason to hide," I replied, trying to feint ignorance.

"Alright, he's the paper. Though, I didn't mean anything by writing this. I just, don't really like rivals, in school or in anything else," Light said, making me even more suspicious, while handing the paper.

"I understand. But, don't think that I don't suspect you," I said, being perfectly clear.

"I see. I hope that I'll be able to convince you that I'm not Kira," Light replied.

"As do I. If we both got perfect scores on the To-Oh entrance exams, then we most have similar IQs," I said, acting like I wanted to work with him.

During the meeting, I oresented the evidence of the piece of paper and the recording of Light taking that I recorded secretly.

I guess I should explain why I'm the one at the meeting, instead of L. For L's safety, we trade places. As in, one day he's here, another I am.

Anyway, the detectives were shocked that Light was almost certainly Kira, or an associate of his.

"I can't believe that Light is even associated with that mass murderer!" Soichiro said in disbelief.

"I'm sorry, Mr.Yagami. I wish that it wasn't true, but it is. If is any consolation, your son only seems to help Kira get the names of people he can't find. It seems like Raye was killed by Kira because it was Light whi he was following. Now, I have a question for you, chief. Does Light have any girlfriends or lovers of any kind?" I asked.

"Well, there are about of girls and boys who are interested in Light, but I don't know of any romantically involved persons. Sorry that I couldn't be of more help," Soichiro said.

"No, it's alright. Even if he had a lover, I don't think that he would tell you. Or me, for that matter. But, if you here him talking about a lover, please tell me," I said and L, pretending to be me said something interesting.

"With this evidence, we will easily arrest Kira. Because, I have been watching him closely and there isn't any romantic interest. Light locks himself away from the world around him and takes to himself. Although L said that all the cameras and wiretaps we removed, I placed one inside Light's desk. Time and time again, he has talked about a notebook that can kill people called the Death Note ane has said that he is Kira multiple times. This, along with the paper that L was given, will allow us to achieve a solid conviction," L, masquerading as me, said.

And that's what we did.
