I called my mom and she said I could go to Chloe's house as long as I was “good" she still treated me like a baby sometimes. Chloe's mom Christie came in her car and picked us up I was thinking about endless possibilities with Chloe. We pulled up outside Chloe's house and I took a deep breath.
[Chloe's POV]
Maddie looked a little flushed. I don't think she was nervous she knew my mom (obviously) and she'd been here before. Maddie's been acting a little funny lately but I'm going to find out why. We went upstairs to my bedroom, Maddie was in front of me and I closed the door behind me. She took another breath, she hadn't spoken the whole time. "Mads what's wrong, are you ok" she looked straight past me and said "I'm ok... I'm fine" I lifted her chin lightly with my finger so I was looking her directly in the eyes (she's a little shorter than me) she started to cry then ran down the stairs and out of my house. My mom came up the stairs and said "Chloe what happened" I said "Maddie said she had to leave but she's coming back later" My mom looked at me and I gave her a big cheesy smile. I decided to text Maddie:
Chloe: Where r yu I'm rlly worried.
Maddie: I'm srry I had to leave
Chloe: But why
Chloe: you've been really distant lately and you've looked right thru me. What have I done.
Maddie: I wish I could tell yu
Maddie: your not the problem its me
Maddie: your beautiful smart and amazing don't let anyone tell yu otherwise. I love yu xx
Chloe: Ok.. ily 2 ur a great friend xx
I knew something was up, I'm gonna find out.
[Maddie's POV]
That was the problem I was stuck in the "friend zone". Chloe didn't feel the same way. She called me asking me to come back but I knew that's because she thought someone upset me. I knocked on her door and she answered she ushered me upstairs and once again closed the door behind her. She sat on the floor and patted the floor where she wanted me to sit. I sat and she said "what's wrong" I turned away and she stood up and put the TV on, turned on the light and got into her bed I got up and sat next to her. She put her arm around me and I rested my head on her shoulder. Nothing happened that night but it was ok.
