Kara strolled down the street. A week ago she would have just looked like a tourist or a photographer looking around the city. Taurs despite his name is the most beautiful and quite possibly the only pleasing sight in all of Alarune's capitals. If you only looked at Taurs you could pretend that Alarune wasn't ruled by a power hungry snake. When she looked in the glass of a shop it wasn't because she was interested or browsing she was checking for pursuers. When she turned a corner and double back, it wasn't because she had made a mistake in direction- it was to catch any tails behind her.
