It's the middle of homeroom and you're forcing yourself to stay awake. You had to help your parents out all night. They work at a place downstairs from where you live and they were low on staff, blah blah blah. Back in your old school, you'd just take the next day off. Sometimes your parents even encouraged it. But now you're in U.A. Your parents are saying you need to take your studies more seriously if you're going to become a hero.
But you don't wanna.

Being a hero sounds cool and all, you get money, fans, a lot of attention. But then there's the whole exercise part of it. Sure you were kinda sporty when younger but you've practically ditched all that.
God, those old days. You'd have football practice every Wednesday and Friday, gymnastics on Monday, swimming on Saturday. What even happened to all of that?

Money was probably the big thing. There was a time that your family was living on scraps then your dad got his second job and you've seemed to be doing fine since then. Your dad seems to be doing-especially fine, he just loves his assistant.
But hey, your mum seems to be loving someone else too.
It's not like you can complain, your parents are still together and that's what matters. You're better off than some people.

"[L/n], pay attention." Mr Aizawa says and snaps you out of your thoughts. You roll your eyes and re-adjust how you're sitting. Kaminari covers his mouth as he snickers. You shoot him a glare but he just laughs a little bit more.

"Why didn't you warn me that he was looking?" You ask in a whispered tone.
"Aw C'mon. You seemed so peaceful. It's nice when you don't yell at me." Kaminari responds and does a soft sleeping face before muffling a laugh again.
"You're such an ass. I warn you all the time." You kick Kaminari's desk and you both go back to sitting normally when Aizawa turns around. Kaminari does it as quickly as he can. But you take a few seconds to glare at him before facing forwards again.

You can feel a few of your classmates looking your way. Bloody snitches.
Aizawa gives you a warning look. You just look back at him plainly.
You must really get on his nerves. You can tell, he usually has a blank, tired, facial expression. But when he turns to you he frowns.

Once Aizawa goes back to what he's doing you glare to Kaminari. Behind him you see Kirishima, he grabs your attention and shakes his head, as if to say it's not worth it. But you know it bloody well is. You're going to get in trouble again because of this asshole.

You have tried on several occasions to not get in trouble, it must be a simple skill of yours to get noticed. Then there's always the fact that whenever someone annoys you they're bound to get a response.
Urgh, talking about people who annoy you, Iida's been a right pain today.

Before class even begun he gave you a glare as you walked in. You arrived on time, he had no reason to give you that look. Maybe he was just annoyed about yesterday. He needs to learn to get over things. It's not like you're going to change just for him.

You look past Kirishima's shoulder and see that Class Rep twerp. He sits upright, it must hurt, no way that's his normal way of sitting. He also has his arms on his desk. They lay straight and his hands meet. Seriously how can he sit like that and be comfortable?
His glasses move down his face and you try not to obviously react when Iida moves to push them up. He catches your eye as you turn back around.
What an asshole.

He must think he's so perfect. So righteous and rich. A bloody prep. You turn back around one more time and he's still looking at you.
Why? Are you pretty or something? If so that's concerning, you didn't really put that much effort into your looks today. You barely got your train this morning. Everything was a rush.

You turn back to the front and try to understand what Mr Aizawa is saying. He's just updating the class on everything that will be happening this week. It shouldn't be taking this long but maybe the class is going out somewhere somewhen. This is boring.

You turn to Kaminari again, he isn't listening either. You pull a face and he responds by doing the same.
"This is dragging." You whisper and Kaminari nods his head.
"Do you even know what it's all about?" He asks and you don't even get a chance to respond.
"Guys, you shouldn't be talking. Mr Aizawa has already told you to stop twice." Kirishima warns as he leans forward a bit on his desk. He has a worried look, he's too good for this.
"He hasn't told us to stop he just gave me a warning look." You respond and Kirishima flinches. He sits back down on his desk and looks away.
"A warning look is basically the same as a warning though," Kaminari says as he lounges in his chair. He too then sits back upright.
"What? No they're not. Ones for pussies and the other is for teachers who actually stand up against their students." You argue and flick some hair out of your face, you turn around and meet Aizawa's stare.
Oops?

"Hi Sir." You say and smile.
You get sent out.

C'mon, if you knew he was there you wouldn't have said anything. Well no, you would of, you just would have done it more discreetly.
You don't have to wait too long before Mr Aizawa leaves the classroom and looks down to you.
"Why where you talking during my lesson?" He asks, straight to the point.

"You know, if you were listening you would know what we were talking about. I think sending me out was completely unnecessary. As a teacher you shoul--"
"I don't need you critiquing my Teaching abilities," Aizawa states and keeps his cold stare. He does this every time, hands in pockets, back slightly slouched and expression cold yet angry. Plus he always says the same things. 'What where you going?' 'I expect better from you.' 'Lunchtime detention' 'weeks detention' 'after school detention'
It's just so typical.

"I expect better from you." He says and you instantly groan. "You were one of the top students in the practical exam. You have a good quirk and strong potential--"
"Yeah yeah, but I waste it because I don't listen enough. You need to work better on your speeches. You say the same stuff every time. Hasn't it shown to already be ineffective?" You say and you're completely right. Though Aizawa's not going to admit that.

Mr Aizawa draws out a sigh, honestly, he's tired all the time, why is it so criminal when you sleep in class.
"You're not getting a detention this time." He states and you wait for the 'but'.
"Okay." You say once noticing his silence.
"But maybe you're right. A detention alone obviously isn't enough to get you back on the right track." He says and you lose your cocky personality for a moment. "I know you can do well academically. Back in your old school, you were fine until the last year. It's not my job to go into your personal life but it's obvious that something happened around that time which has been holding you back. If you can somehow leave that behind, I'm sure it would be beneficial for your future. At this rate, you're heading towards expulsion. The only reason you're still in my class is because I know you can do better."

You look away and frown as Aizawa talks, he has no right to know about shit. What happened is none of his business. As previously mentioned. Your family got tight with money. You ditched school to help your parents out. Things have been a little bit different since then. But you're fine. You don't need this Asshole telling you what to do.
