Chapter 3: I Guess This is Goodbye...

Third Person POV

Peter B: Hey bud, you okay? We've all been there. For me it was my uncle Ben.

Noir: For me, it was my uncle Benjamin.

Peni: For me, it was my father.

Gwen: For me, it was my best friend.

Y/N: For me Miles, it was...my sister.

Ham: Miles, the hardest part of this job is that you can't save everybody.

Miles: It was my fault. You guys wouldn't understand.

Gwen: Miles, we're probably the only ones that do understand what you're going thr-

Suddenly, the door swung open and revealed Miles' roommate.

Peter B: Oh no

Then, Miles' door swung open to reveal his roommate with headphones onas well as reading a comic book.

Peter B *whispering*: That way! That way!

Just as the spider-gang moved to the side of the room, Miles' roommate swings himself to face the same side of the room as well.

Peter B *whispering*: Other way! Other way!

The spider-gang then moved to the front of the room, which Miles' roommate also swung to the front of the room as well.

Miles: Hey there!

Ham: Do animals talk in this universe 'cause I don't walk to freak him ou-.

The next thing that the spider-gang saw was Miles' roommate fainting out of shock.

Timeskip

As Miles was tucking his roommate into bed, he saw Gwen climbing out the window so only Peter B remains in the room.

Miles: What's going on?

Gwen: Bye Miles

Miles: You can say goodbye at the collider.

Peter B: You're not getting it, you're staying here.

Miles: But, I need to be there. So you can all go home.

Peter B: They are going home Miles, I'm staying.

Miles: You're taking my place...? If you stay here, you will die.

Peter B: I'm doing what needs to be done. I just wanted you to hear from me.

Miles: What about MJ?

Peter B: Not everything works out, kid. I need the goober. Please don't make me take it from you.

Miles: That's not fair! You've gotta tell them I can do this!

Peter B: It wasn't their decision.

Miles: I gotta make Kingpin pay! You have to let me make him pay!

Peter B: Miles, you're gonna get yourself killed.

Miles: But I'm ready I promise-

But before Miles could finish his heroic speech, Peter B. quickly cut him off with kicking Miles, making him almost fall to the ground before Peter B. catches him.

Peter B: Then venom strike me right now, or turn invisible on command so you can get past me for god's sake!

Meanwhile, outside the window, the other spiders listen in on this heartfelt conversation. Y/N, however looked different, it was like he didn't have any emotions and a shadow covered his eyes..
