○ Wake up, don't be a philanthropist anymore ○
○ You don't love him as much as you thought ○"You need us to what now?" the writer asked in shock. "I need you to do this just one favor for me. I needed someone to play a role as the main male and female when the script isn't even done yet. You two are perfect for that! You can help write and you can help design the cover and sets and all those" the man said in excitement.
The man is no other than Adam Fan or Fan ChengCheng. An actor with an American father and a Chinese mother, an actor with a very famous actress sister, Fan BingBing. He was told by the casting director to pick two people for a movie, only in cinemas for a week and going around theatres to perform about five times and that's it.
He wanted to just say his and Jane's name but she often goes on missions and she can't afford her face and a lot of other profiles of her be revealed so he couldn't. He would've asked Jocelyn and Wenjun but the two have already been busy with their own jobs, Wenjun modelling for magazines and advertisements every single day and Jocelyn working on a presentation for a promotion.
Xukun and Sophia could also be possible candidates for the position as the both of them are pretty witty and good at almost everything but then again, Sophia is an anonymous writer who doesn't want to be spotted and Xukun is too busy to even handle his wife at home. So the only people he knew and trusted were the artist and the writer.
"But we can't act" the artist simply responded. It was true, the two couldn't act that much, and they definitely don't fancy acting by any means. The actor sighed and rubbed his temple. "What am I going to tell the casting director about this?" he asked more to himself.
The two felt bad for him so the writer being the kind person he always is, answered "Just take us to meet the director and everyone first. We'll consider it" The actor's smile was growing wider and wider at his response and shook the two's hands.
"Thank you, I owe you" he said. "You sure do" she said. "I can arrange an appointment for you to meet with the director tomorrow at the studio. I'll take you there, how does that sound?" he asked and the two nodded.
---
"Are you two really willing to perform this movie? I mean the script isn't even finished and the design isn't completed yet either" the director asked. The director was someone ChengCheng knew well, Huang Xinchun.
"I personally think that it's fine. The both of us can help with the script and the design, especially for the fact that our actual occupations are related to the two aspects of the ones you're lacking" the artist said. "I think so too, you might need our help" the writer added.
"Very well then, you can go and meet the designers and the script writers. And thank you for your co-operation" Xinchun said, giving them a grateful bow. "One problem though, we can't act that much" she said. "The script is about romance so Linong, why don't you tell them about your love story and help them write. You would only need to re-enact it that way" he said.
"Great, then we'll start working on the script and the designs immediately" the writer said.
---
"So to which part are you in now?" the writer asked as he inspected what the artist was drawing. "The cover of the movie, like the drawing they would be showing in the cinemas and the theatres" she said as she continued to sketch. "Isn't that the main designer's job? And isn't it supposed to be done with a computer digitally?" he asked.
"I wanted to show them how the design would and should look like as they seemed to not understand my earlier explanation. Actions speak louder than words, you know that" she said as she was still sketching a design. They have been working on these things for a few days now, and everything was nearly done.
"How far through the script are you?" she asked all the while thinking of how to sketch the next picture. "Almost done with it, on the part when we go to Bouvet Island. But I didn't necessarily make it Bouvet Island, just an ordinary island with little to no residents" he said.
"But the landscape was beautiful there. I have to admit I've never seen such view in my entire life" the artist remarked. It was true, the island was cold and inhabitant but it sure is beautiful. No, it was magnificent at least and even then, she wanted to go back just to take a shot on her camera.
"I'm done, what do you think?" she asked as she handed the drawing to him. It was a picture of the two of them dancing under the chandeliers and amongst all the people. It was a portrait of them at Xukun and Sophia's wedding celebration. "It's... wonderful. It's so realistic, as if I could see the both of us and reminisce the times" he said.
"I'm glad. I'll hand these to the designers. They should know what to do and how to do their jobs right by now. And if they don't, I might give them a beating myself" she joked. "You can't even hurt a fly, love. You would be of no threat to them" he said. "Still, I can do more impact than you think I can" she argued.
"Of course you can, love. Of course you can"
---
"Alright, the two of you! You're acting is stupendous but I must say that you're lacking a bit at the intonations for this certain part. Albeit it's a difficult one to do. But I think that you could nail it off with just a little practice and emphasis on this part" Xinchun said as the couple nodded.
It has been a few weeks since the filming began and the two who claimed that they couldn't act, were actually doing an amazing job. It maybe was because it was just re-enacting but it was still a tough job, especially for people who didn't study acting down to the basics and all that.
ChengCheng played the role of the artist's ex, getting all the playboy traits to himself and acting it in front of the camera and the audience in the near future. The director was very pleased by their excellent performance in both acting, intonations, voices, expressions, just everything for a movie.
"How am I supposed to do this part?" the writer asked. "This part is... kind of unreal so I would say it like this" the artist started. "Put a bit of stress to the whole sentence, like you're emphasizing every single word you're saying, especially the ending part. The ending is what's important" she said.
"Stop being so nice, artist. You don't love him as much as you thought. You don't have those heart eyes when you look at him anymore, so please, let him go, away from your heart, away from you"
