I didn't know why but that mirror had something that was beyond me. I sighed. I was probably just getting overly excited. I must have been staring into the mirror for too long because my dad hopped onto the bed. " Come on Kiloa lets go get some dinner". I nodded and let my Dad help me off the bed. I looked back at the mirror one more time only to see it shining as if it never had been touched. We ended up going to the best restaurant in town. The one with my favorite dish. My father held up his glass. " A cheer, to my favorite little princess". He kissed me on the cheek. I smiled noticing a cute guy near me. He was staring at me. This is the one. I said to myself. I can feel it. He caught me looking at him and glanced away. I ate my food and asked to be excused. He was over by the band that was playing Ode to joy. He saw me walking toward him. And smiled. The same smile as the one I had when I looked into the mirror. "Hello". He said, his voice sly and smooth. " I 'm Kiloa". I said using my seductive smile. He lifted an eyebrow as if he sensed that I was trying to get with him. "I'm Trey". I looked down. "Say your name goes well with your looks". Trey said holding my chin up to his face. " "And what do you think of my name"? He grinned. " New, fresh something that I have never seen or heard before". He harshly let go of my chin and looked away. " What brings you here?" I asked unsure of how to make him like me. He was a tough one. He turned his head. "You". He winked. I bit my lip trying to be cool . Trey was trying to mess with me I knew it. I flipped my hair back out of my face. " Do you live around here, Trey?" I said his name like he was mine. " No, only till We get something"s worked out." We. What does that mean. I didn't bother asking though. I just nodded. Trey stood up straight. Then bent down to my ear. "Let's not play games okay, met me here tonight if you want to live." Live. Sure like I was going to die. He seemed to see me roll my eyes. Trey stepped close to me. Smelling of axe which made me smile. "Kiloa your in great danger I don't want anything to happen to you."I nodded. He smiled, his teeth white and perfect. He slowly walked away. For the first time someone was more perfect than me. And I was glad. Trey could be the first person that I might actually love."Kiloa?" Dad was standing behind me. I glanced one more time at Trey. Only to see him wink at another girl. Trey was a player. I turned. "Yes Daddy." He smiled. " I just was looking for you." Dad kissed my cheeck and took my hand. "Come on let's go home."

The lights went out. The clock was 11:00. One more,I thought. One more hour. 12:00. Time to go. I slowly stepped out of bed. My mirror proud and shinned. It was cold. I slipped on a sweater. And slide out the back door. 2 hours was all I had or all I was willing to risk. There he was outside my house. "I though we were going to the resturant?" I asked. Trey smiled. His face unreadable. " I know that." Trey held a small mirror in his hand. Kiloa, you see this?" I nodded. "This is your enemy." I laughed, how was a mirror dangerous. Trey shook his head. " You will M- never mind but you have to trust me." I rolled my eyes. Trey stepped closer. " Mar will hate this but I have to." He mumbled. "Do wh-?" Trey kissed me, it wasn't like anyone else. Not like Nathan or Kaleb. His was perfect. Trey threw me back. And wiped his mouth. "Your not what I need." He said sternly. I smiled and kissed him again. He looked at me but didn't kiss me back. Trey sighed and looked down. "Kiloa I'm not here to be your lover. I'm here to keep you safe." I didn't know what he meant I was safe I had always been safe. "Trey, I really like you." I said and maybe I meant it. I wasn't sure I had never liked anyone before. He squinted his eyes. " You barley know me." He was right, but usually that never mattered to me. Trey shook his head laughing. "What?" I asked. " I know about you, you play people I mean your pretty but know that what you say to people is shit." He sound really mad. I shook my head. "No I can love someone." Trey shook his head too. "Beauty is everything I need." He stared walking away but then stopped. "Go home someone is waiting for you."
