Theodosia awoken to an empty world there was not even a glimpse of someone on the horizon. The sky was still blue, but getting darker. She had maybe two hours left of light. Her trip had to start as soon as possible. She knew that she had to get out of the Realm. She had to find a way to survive, not because of some vague fate that Kairos thinks she has, but she truly wants to live. Everyone of her lives has been cut short and she is ready to finally be alive. She doesn't want to stay over again. If she gets out of the Realm of Correnia than her chances of survival would increase. Nothing was going to hold her back now. She was going to survive.

Following the path of energy, she was going to find the human world of Earth. The energy flowed through the Realm but was not part of Earth. Because of the collision between the Realm of Correnia and the world of Earth there was no clear boarder, one faded into the other, but the energy that existed in the world was only present in one of the halves. There was a clear divide between the magic in the Realm and Earth.

All she had to do was follow the trail that was decreasing. She was glad to be a Seer, for she could see the reality of the world. most people throughout the Realm could not see the energy that flowed around them, they knew that it was there but they were blind to it. Due to Theo's powers her vision was clear and she was able to see what was hidden from others. Her powers would lead her passage to safety.

The journey was simple she followed the path that showed the least. Much like Robert Frost, she took the road not traveled. Through the plains of Realm, she made her way to another forest. With each step the energy levels decreased, and she was reassured that she was heading the right way. Heading through the trees she had found her mark; the Realm had ended.

She made it out of the Realm at night fall. There was darkness around her but she was not afraid. She felt safe. This was going to be the beginning. Those hunting her in the Realm would not expect her to go to Earth. They would be unable to track her without the energy of the Realm.

Then the trees ended. There was a patch of black pavement. We humans would understand the idea of the road, but Theo had only seen simple road in the cities such as Sanctuary, but they were always near buildings and never in the middle of the woods. She stopped in the middle of the road trying to figure it out. There was no one on the road, so it seemed strange to have a road that no one was using. There were trees on both sides, so the forest could have continued across the pavement and yet someone decided to build a road. Building a road seemed like a waste of space to the girl from Zyanya.

Lights appeared on the horizon. A car was approaching. Apparently, people did use this road, and Theo was standing right in the middle of it. Like a deer in the headlights she was frozen. The car continued to approach, and she won't move. She had never seen a car before, in the Realm they had yet to be invented. Hover cars that absorbed the energy around it to propel it forward would not be invented until shortly before the Most Successful Failed Rebellion. At the time that Theo left the Realm there was the lay line stations to travel great distances, but to for the wealthy who did not wish to waste energy by using their powers to travel within a city there were these box carts that floated above the surface. The people would ride in the boxes and the driver would use his push to row the wooden box. The car was large and metal with four wheels that allowed it to run on the ground. Theo had never seen anything like it before. She was not prepared. Something that large seemed unlikely to move in that way, but somehow it managed to fly down the street. If she from Earth she would have drove out of the way to avoid being hit, though sadly she was from the Realm. She stood in wonder trying to believe that the vehicle was real.

The car continued to come down the street. Those inside expected Theo to move. No one in their right mind would stand down a car, unless they were a college student looking for free tuition. While at least that would be the mind set in my time, this was about fifty years early. Times had changed, and the price of living had only increased. The driver tried to slow and was thankfully able to stop the car just before she was hit.
