"Nice explosion!" Rory said his usual goofy self. "Ethan and Benny will sad if they missed that."
Erica's usually calm face quickly shifted to a look of utter terror.
"Wait where are they?" and then THE MOST IMPORTANT PART hit her like a train.
"AND where's Sarah?!?" Erica looked directly at Anastasia who was cold and emotionless as always.
"I am afraid that your friends were most likely in the center of the explosion." The way she says it is unnervingly calm and her expression is just dead. Like she is about to be.
Erica flashes her fangs and her eyes change to yellow and she quickly grabs the still youthful elder vampire by her neck and pushes her against a nearby tree. Rory just stands in shock of the words.
"What do you mean they were in the center?!?", Erica was rough on the last word. "EXPLAIN!!!" , she demanded.
"Your friends were fighting that human vice principle of yours." Erica stood in anger but her mind made a mental note to kill Vice Principle Stern, while Rory...
"Vice Principle Stern killed Ethan and Benny?" the usually goofy girl-crazy Rory was unusually calm like he had seen the explosion kill his friends.
"Yes," Anastasia responded in usual unempathetic and serious tone which caused tears to roll down Rory's face and he finds his hands in the grown. Erica's eyes quickly shifted back to normal and notices her eyes are beginning to do the same but builds up enough courage to tell the child bodied vampire off.
"You emotionless monster! How are dealing with this so easy? Are friends are dead!" Erica then began to cry and loosened the vampire by her neck.
"No," Anastasia spoke her first words after she was released from her ally's grip. "They were your friends. Now when you two are done with this emotion display of grief...we need to leave."
She began her walk off into the distance, meanwhile, Erica kneeled beside Rory and uncharacteristically put her arms around Rory as he cried.
Shortly afterward she helped him up and walked him to Anastasia and the unlikely trio walked away from Whitechapel.
We see Rory now clad in sunglasses, a sleeveless black hoodie, and black jeans. He is walking up a flight of stairs and we see him enter an apartment. The walls are typical and bland but have a hint of girly feel to them.
"Rory?" Erica said, she looks different too, she is dressed in a modest pair of jeans and an ordinary t-shirt, her fashion sense is not okay right now. Rory looks up showing his blonde now styled upwards.
"Rory where have been!?!" Erica runs up and hugs her best friend. Well best and only friend.
"It's been nearly a day! Why were you gone for so long?" Erica is legitimately worried and really wants an explanation.
"I was busy." Rory's explanation will not fly. Not in this household. "No, I want an explanation right now Rory." She serious and is this close to vamping out.
Rory throws a stake from his pocket, "I was hunting okay. No big deal." Rory shrugs and Erica throws her arms on his shoulders.
"No big deal you could have died." Erica's hands are pushed away with his hands and takes off his sunglasses. "Rory you do not walk away from me!" Erica yells and Rory turns with flashed fangs and eyes and Erica does the same.
"Children!" Anastasia calmly walks out of her room clad in a pair of...pink pajamas. "That is enough! We have survived for a year in this...dump is that not enough hell for me?" She looked angry but the two vampires couldn't contain their laughter.
"These were the only ones I could find. Do not laugh at me!" Anastasia was not helping her case and Rory fell to the floor laughing while Erica had simply begun to cease.
Then Rory started to produce tears. "Rory?..." Erica inquired at her friend who has not ceased his laughter. His face soon begins to contort into a pool and Erica threw herself onto her friend as he cried into her chest. Anastasia simply moaned and walked to the refrigerator to get some blood.
"Rory it's okay," Erica said to her convulsing friend who then pulled away and backed up. "No, it's not Erica. Ethan and Benny are dead and you think Sarah is still alive." Erica was dumbfounded by what he said.
"B-because sh-they are alive!!" Erica screamed at Rory. "You on the other ha..." Erica let her former self slip in and instantly regretted when she saw the look on Rory's face before he bolted out the door and flew into the night.
"Well," Anastasia said, "That could have ended better." She then drank a sip of her blood.
"Why did they have to die?" Rory cries out as he sores threw the air. "Ethan, Benny I'm sor-"
Rory doesn't finish his question as he simply flys headfirst into a sign.
"Stupid Rory!!" He shouts and bangs his head against the sign. "Why did you have to be such a-" Rory is brought back to his world when he sees the signs name
