"𝐨𝐤 𝐦𝐚!" i said back. i grabbed my keyed and put on some shoes.

it wasn't that far so, i walked. it was kinda cold, i should've brought a jacket damn.

the diner started getting in view, i was just gonna grab some pancakes for my family. i was on my phone when i bumped into someone.

"𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐭, 𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐲." the voice said.

i looked down and smiled, "𝐧𝐨 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬, 𝐰𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧'𝐭 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠."

she gave me a half smile, "𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐡 𝐢 𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐬𝐨."

i nodded before saying, "𝐢'𝐦 𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐱, 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐲."

"𝐢'𝐦 𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐛𝐮𝐭, 𝐢 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐨." she said. i was lowkey sad when she said that.

"𝐨𝐡, 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐤. 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮." i told her.

she just gave me a nod. i sounded so stupid, iT waS nICe mEeTiNg yOu, wasn't even a full conversation.

anyways, i went up to order and started heading home after getting the food. when i arrived i was automatically greeted by my baby brother, henry.

"𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐱!" he said all happily.

i smiled wildly, "𝐡𝐢 𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐫𝐲!"

"𝐢 𝐦𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐮𝐮𝐮." he said, giving me a hug.

i giggled, "𝐚𝐰𝐡 𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐫𝐲, 𝐢 𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐠𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠." i said still smiling.

he said nothing and wanted me to carry him. i walked to the kitchen and gave my mom the food. i watched henry as she prepared our food.
