" That is a terrible, horrible, and incredibly foolish idea. Let's do it an see what happens," I dumbly smiled.

" Alright, let's go then, Tae!" Orion said as he jumped out of his seat next to me on the bed. I rolled my eyes at him as we scurried down the stairs and into the kitchen.

It was pitch black outside since it was the middle of the night. The only light that crept in, was what the moon allowed for us. The rest of house was silent with no light shining in except for the kitchen. The kitchen was Orion's and I's favorite place to be in our small two story house. It's where every disaster was created. The place where we discovered who we really are. The kitchen was where most of our memories were made. The kitchen made me find my way to Orion.

Orion, my best friend ever since childhood. We've never been more than best friends or anything less, except for today. Today we were going to see what it would feel like to dance with someone who loved you. Someone who made you feel at home.

We had made an agreement earlier that we would have to pretend to act like a couple, who has been together ever since the beginning of time. Us idiotic college kids just wanted something to look forward to after school was out and we had started our careers. We just wanted someone to love us unconditionally. Wanted someone to love us through every up and down in our lifetimes. We wanted someone who would dance with us in a moonlit kitchen.

Orion and I, we have had several doubts that we will never find someone to love us like the way we want them too.

"Our standards are too high," some people say.

"Lower your expectations," bicker some outsiders. But we won't. We don't settle for anything that is less than our own worth. We at least know that much.

Orion latched onto my hands after we had gotten down the stairs and led me into the moonlit kitchen. He laid down his phone, playing a soft tune as he pulled me into him. His strong arms held me close as we swayed to the calm rhythm of the song.

I set my head close to his heart and held my breath. Listening. His heart was rapidly beating, unlike the gentle song. I looked up at Orion to see him gazing down at me. His eyes sparkling with a feeling I can't quite put my finger on.

I smiled up at him as my cheeks started to burn under his gaze. I looked down at his chest and just listened to his heart beat again. Allowing it to calm my vigorously beating heartbeat as well.

There was a warm feeling in the pit of my stomach that gave me butterflies. I tried to chase them away, but being here with Orion just made them worse. Why am I feeling like this? This has never happened to me before with Orion? Then it hit me like a truck.

       Love.

I've fallen in love with my best friend. Being so close to him gives me a sense of protection. Orion gives me hope of finding someone who will truly love me for who I am. My hands began to knot his shirt into my fists, afraid of letting him go. Afraid of who I will become without him. My throat started to swell at my overwhelming thoughts. I pushed down the lump and just smiled, happy that I was here with Orion.

His hands started to slip down to my waist as we continued to sway and swirl around the dimly lit kitchen. The music softly playing as I began to slowly tune it out, focusing on what was right in front of me. I noticed that our feet found the perfect patterns, almost as if they were reading each other's minds. Our hands found ways to each other, intertwined so we won't lose each other.

I stole a look up at Orion as he softly held me, yet it seemed like his grip told me that he was afraid to rid of me. Honestly, so was I.

The dim moonlight shone into his eyes, his blue eyes sparkling silver. His olive skin brightly shining, making him glisten. He looked down at me and caught my gaze. His cheeks started to burn a bright crimson that shone though the darkness. He tried so hard to cover his cheeks by smiling and giggling, just as I had. Our laughter echoed throughout the house, making it a home.

God dammit, Orion. We are so much alike and we are still looking for someone else to be our other half. What are we really even looking for? We have already found the other half of ourselves. We have found each other.

Shaking me from my thoughts, Orion whispered,"Tae." I glanced down at his lips, loving the way my name fell off of his tongue,

"Yes," I quietly hummed back, bring my eyes back to his.

" Did I break the rules for not pretending to love you?" He asked, like a small child pleading for a cookie.

I slightly chuckled at his question, "No, because I broke the rules too."

Taken aback by my answer, he cocked his head to the side and looked at me deeply. His eyes flickering with a longing expression. His face slowly became closer to mine as he said in a hushed tone, " Really?"

I looked into his shimmering eyes as my gaze darted down to his soft lips once again. I gently closed my eyes and leaned into him. Pressing my lips to his as my breath hitched in my chest. Chills were sent down my spine and finally, I was at peace. Every moment had seemed to stop as our lips were locked together. Everything seemed as if it would all be okay.

I slowly pulled away as I traced my thumb against his bottom lip, making him quiver under my touch. "Does that answer your question?" I whispered, afraid to lose this moment forever.

His lips enveloped mine, once again. Pressing our bodies together, he gently slammed me against the kitchen wall as he continued to devour me. The hit making my mouth open for him as his tongue slipped into my mouth, exploring everything. My hands began to slide into his hair, caressing his head.

Our bodies were so close that it almost seemed as if we have done this before. But we haven't.

His hands slipped beneath my shirt, making my nerves shiver. Orion trailed kisses down my neck, making me moan, claiming that I'm his. His lips found their way back to mine, hungrily.

I whimpered as he pulled away from me, hoarsely asking, " Why couldn't we have found each other sooner?"

I gazed into his eyes and whispered, " Because we already had each other."
