I watched from the top of the hill as my home was in ruins. I looked over at Rowan and saw an orange-yellow light illuminating his face, as it did mine as well. Rowan caught my eye and stated, " You didn't..." as he turned back to the horrid scene in front of him.

" Oh, I very much did," I told him as I held up a burning match with an evil grin smug across my face. The city was in flames, only because someone had gotten in my way. This so called " person" tried to take what was mine. Take what I had spent my entire life gaining and this person took it all away, as if it was nothing.

As a result, I took away the thing that she valued most, her people.

The flames in the city were tearing and searing the buildings apart along with the innocent and guilty. It really doesn't matter any more to me nowadays, if they are guilty or innocent, alive or dead. The one thing that Clover was unable to take away from me, was my fearlessness. I burnt down her home along with her people without a hesitation.

" Oh, look! There she is! Awe, she is so adorable. Look how she's begging me for mercy when I'm the one who placed this upon her," I exclaimed to Rowan as a grin creeped upon my face.

" Emory, I think you might've taken this a bit too far. Don't you think?" He replied.

" You think I took it too far?" I chuckled, " Did you not see what she did? She got in my way, and no one gets in my way," I told him as my eyes glazed over with ice.

I trudged over to where Clover was still trying to escape the flames but failed miserably as I picked up a random water jug off to the side. I looked her dead in the eyes and smiled, pouring the water right next to me.

Watching as she struggled to get under the waterfall I had created, trying to grasp what life she had left. I could hear her skin boiling over the crackling fires submerging her. Tears started to emerge from her eyes as she started to silently scream for help, but no sound came because the smoke had begun to cloud her body.

" This is what happens to people who try to become God!! To people who try to become me!! You don't want to be me, because you have the power to kill a person at the tip of your fingertips. You don't want that, because every single time you want to hold your mother, your lover, your child even, they just turn to dust and there is nothing you can do about it!!!" I screamed into Clover's face as I touched her forehead and watched her eyes roll to the back of her head.

I turned away and attempted to laugh it all off as the city around me was falling to pieces. I ended up falling to the ground, sobbing and hoping all of the pain will just go away.

Rowan came over to me and held my chin up, his hands grazing over my face. He lifted his thumb up to wipe away the tears as I pulled away, afraid that I would kill him too.

" Emory!! Sweetheart, you can't hurt me, I'm the one who created you. Come over to me and let me help you ease the pain," Rowan calmly told me.

How could I forget that he was the only person on the Earth that I could not kill with the touch of my skin.

I crawled back over to him as he held me and as I cried into the crook of his neck. He held me and told me everything was going to be okay. He told me that only the crazy could challenge me now. He whispered next to my ear that the world was now mine.

He was right, because the next day, I was sitting in the kings throne.

Rowan, as usual, was at my right, supporting my every decision and taking the lead if I became too angry or overwhelmed. Rowan was always there when I needed him the most. He's a God too, just like me, but he has the ability to turn others into them, if they deserve it. Me on the other hand, I haven't been able to possess that ability, so I'm just stuck with killing people...
