The car came to a halt, opposite a one story building. The tension on the car, was far too thick that even a knife couldn't cut through it.
I glanced at Sebastian for a brief moment, somehow my palm had become sweaty, making me immediately wipe the heat on my jeans trousers. Probably due to the guilt of keeping his kids away from him.
"I don't think I can do this." Came a breathless reply from Sebastian, the uncertainty in his voice piece my heart painfully.
A trail of sweat, ran down his forehead, which he immediately wipe with the back of his palm. From where he sat, I could share from his nervousness. And that alone almost brought down tears from my eyes.
"I'm sorry." I whispered, staring at my fumbling fingers.
Sebastian realized a long sigh. "It's okay. You don't need to blame yourself. You were only doing what was best for everyone. I'd hate if my kids were brought up in a toxic relationship."
Hearing the words kids did unimaginable thinks in me. Though, the word sound foreign coming from him, I found my lips breaking to a smile. "Let's go."
Upon seeing my face in a smile, he returned his, and take hold of my hands, raising it up to his lips, which he slowly planted a kiss in both palm of my hands.
His action, not only made me almost jump his bone right in the car, close to our kids. His action made me feel special and desired, not only to warm his bed, but as a source of comfort.
We both found our way out of the rented car, with him opening my side of the door, in a gentleman manner. I was already feeling like a queen.
The flight down to New Jersey came faster. Probably due to Sebastian taking his time to show me different type of ecstasy, keeping both of us busy in his jet bed.
He told me about what he, Elsa Justin and Victoria had planned in other to bring Eric and Valentina back together. Though, I'd say that was a risky thing to do to a pregnant woman, but the end result had turned out positive, welcoming in a new member of the Smith family.
Valentina and I may have several differences, but I'm happy Eric found the one who he could see himself spending his life with. I plan in making up time after staying with our daughters and the go see their newly born son.
"Are you going to keep staring at the door? Or are you planning on ringing the bell?" I asked, after a few seconds of noticing Sebastian hesitance to notify his presence. I don't know what story he came up with to escape his friends from finding out, but whatever it was, it must have been good.
"You seriously not helping me my state." He mumbled, almost to himself. I'm sure it wasn't meant for my ears.
To help him then, I stretched my finger, and pressed the doorbell. As it rang Sebastian gazed at me in panic. If there had been enough space in the porch, he wouldn't have been drilling a hole on it alone, with his pace.
The sound of the door being pulled open, brought him to a straight stance. Almost appearing like a statue. I resisted the urge to chuckle in amazement.
I know how tensing the situation was, but Sebastian's reactions to everything making a movement, or a sound, almost made me burst in laughter.
The door was pulled open by an elderly woman, but I took no time in offering my greetings when a loud voice called out to me.
"Mummy!" Came a little voice, and a loud footsteps, running down the stairs. I caught sight of two little identical blond hair girls, with a happy smiles on their faces, making their green eyes twinkle in delight and happiness. Seeing them felt like staring at a younger female version of Sebastian.
The resemblances were too great, that the only feature they got from me was my nose.
I went on my knees, with my arms wide open, allowing myself to be engrossed in a tight embrace. The warmth coming from those two, made me feel at home. I couldn't stop myself from plastering their faces with kisses.
"I missed you both." I said, while still peppering both little faces with kisses. Tears ran down my cheeks, from the emotional comfort I got from their presence.
It immediately struck me I wasn't alone. Quickly I stood up from my former position, casting a gaze at Sebastian, and I felt even more guilty.
I didn't do well in hiding his emotion, he felt like a stranger in his own family, but the recognition flashing in his eyes, instantly made his eyes watery.
I cleared my throat, and gazed at my daughters, and then at Sebastian. "Sebastian meet Celina and Cecilia Snow." Hearing his his children bearing his surname, made his gaze snapped towards mine, for the first time since our children appeared in his presence. I could feel the gratitude coming from him, which I acknowledge with a slight nod.
Whirling my gaze back to our daughters, I opened my mouth to introduce Sebastian to them as their father, but I was immediately cut short by their next reply.
"Sebastian Snow? Are you our dad? You look just like him, and have the same name?" Cecilia whispered, expectantly.
I lifted my gaze towards, Susan, who nodded her head, giving me the indication about filling the kids about their father. And I couldn't be more grateful.
Cecilia has always been the mature one between she and her sister. I'd say she took after me in that, but Celina on the other hand, was the exact character of her father, always jovial and funny.
Hearing those words from Cecilia made my breath seize as I took in what was about happening in slow motion, as Sebastian nodded his head.
Immediately Celina ran towards him, hugging him on one side of his legs tightly, while Cecilia did the same also. Sebastian stood in shock at such respond, taking him a few seconds to let it dawn on him what was happening.
And not wasting a second, he went down on his knees, enveloping both girls in a tight embrace. Tears ran down in cheek, as a strong emotion were written on his face.
The entire mood brought me to tears, as I watched the scene taking place right in front of me.
Watching as the father placed kisses on both their heads, with an expression of love showing on his face. Seeing and knowing how he felt, gave me a reassurance that he will never stop loving this girl's, maybe not me, but his love alone for the girls, made me fall more deeply in love with him. But somehow, I felt like an outsider, and a stranger while watching them.
As if hearing my thought, he glanced up towards my direction, and immediately stretched an arm out, welcoming me into their happy world.
Immediately I knelt on my knee, joining them in the world we've both created.
But all along, we weren't even a step inside the house as we had our family moment.
At this point I felt like my heart is about bursting in happiness. The words family, our little family, only made me more happier.
