A paradise.

I stumbled into the closet that they decided to call a classroom. A small seating area is all that was available today. We had to move constantly because of our newest enemy. Not any human that you know. Not an animal. But that most deceiving thing possible. Ourselves. Because of us, death and decay follow us wherever we go.

Green trees sprout out of the ground.

We moved like slugs as we shuffled our way across the room. We're still selfish. Even though we've destroyed our planet ad killed life itself, all we crave is education, something for ourselves. And that's what will kill us in the end. Selfishness. Intelligence. Murdering nature. Building walls. Cutting trees, our air supply. And all because we're selfish.

The Canadian water, crystal clear.

We try to make excuses.

"It wasn't us, it was pollution."

"It wasn't us, it was the Sun."

"It wasn't us, it was the animals"

It was pollution. The pollution we caused. It was the Sun. the Sun that we tried to enhance. It was the animals. The animals that we drove to pure anger because we hurt them first. We killed them first. Well, now they're all gone. So there's no one to blame but ourselves.

Red squirrels climbed freely up the branches.

I tried to run I tried to hide. But then I realised I was running from myself. Hiding from myself. And I'm afraid that isn't possible. So I stopped. Or I tried to. I tried to stop killing. Hurting. Polluting. So I stopped. I stopped everything. And I found a way to stop myself.

And then it was all gone.
