It's not that bad after all

Bakugou's POV

I really hope that these idiots understand that I can't hear them... I can't hear any of their shit but they insist on trying to communicate verbally with me. But I can feel the happiness radiating off of all of them. Being deaf is weird but it has heightened all my other senses. But I'm not able to yell at any of these motherfuckers so that's a let down.

But to be honest the sight of them being so excited about seeing me is kinda nice. Their not scared of me or jumpy when I'm around anymore. That kinda makes me feel weak but I shook off that feeling really quick. It's making me feel this weird emotion of happiness. I've felt happy before but this is a slightly different feeling... I feel that I can kinda get used to...

Yes it was nice when people feared me and everything. But now that people hang around me I guess I was wrong. The friends that I've made this year are ok in my book. Even though they might not be the brightest or the strongest. But their my idiots and I'd even say their my family. I just hope they won't make me regret it...

I looked to my left to where Half and Half had sat down and I watched as he typed something on his phone. His fingers were typing pretty fast and I'm guessing that he was trying to text me another message. To be honest it is kinda annoying to have to read everything. Also in all honesty I don't really want to read what these people have to say. But at least I don't have to listen to Deku's damn rambling.

'They're all really happy to see you Bakugou... They were wondering how bad you condition is. You can type what you think below since you can't talk at a reasonable level,' I read as Half and Half held out his phone to me.

Having to type to communicate is kinda weird but I guess I'll get used to it and all. I know that these idiots might be to stupid and lazy to learn sign language. So I guess I don't mind saving them the trouble.

I snatched the phone from his hands pretty quickly and held it to my chest. I soon started typing pretty fast and soon I just handed the phone back. I watched as Todoroki's eyes scanned the phone as he read the message. Soon he nodded and just set the phone down on the table. I watched as the other chatted and used their hands to describe things. Things really hadn't changed even if I had stepped out for a few days.

My phone in my back pocket started to vibrate. I took it out and read the message quickly before it slid off the screen. I looked up to see Momo and Deku's friends waving at me with a smile. Even frog face was willing to wave at me. All I did was salute them back the tun back to the group. I then noticed two more texts had shown up on my phone.

The first was all the notes form every class. When I saw who sent it I wasn't surprised when I saw Iida's name. The next was a message from none other than Deku. When I first read it I though it was just a greeting and a long paragraph. But at the end of the long paragraph was a phone number and an explanation.

"Hey Kacchan! It's Deku! It's been awhile since I texted you... I hope tat being deaf doesn't bring you down. I really believe that you'll b a great hero when we all grow up! We'll all be out there fighting and defeating villains! We'll be doing it together and as a team... Maybe even a family! I hope that you feel better soon! I also have a friend that might be able to help you... He name is Hagkure and she is a really great inventor... I've already asked her to try and creat something that can help you... I think she might be done already! Good luck and stay safe Kacchan!" I read and soon a smile spread across my face.

I felt Todoroki's eyes stare at me as I replied and soon m phone was in the boys grasp. As todoroki read he raised and eyebrow but barely anyone noticed expect for me. Todoroki just shrugged and soon picked up his phone and started typing once again. His fingers flew across the keyboard and soon he was handing me his phone.

"We can visit this girl later today after school. I have to stay with you though since we have no idea who this person is and what they can do. I also have to come with you because I made a promise that I'd watch over you and I intend to keep that promise,' I read and soon I just shrugged and handed the phone back.

I mouthed a thank you to the boy next to me and I noticed a small blush appear on his cheeks. But before I could get a closer look my attention was turned to the others. They were trying to stack random items on their trays. I just let out a sigh but was amused and wanted to see what would happen next. So all I did was watch and to be honest... The silence wasn't so bad...
