Nine
'Why the fuck is he so tall?' was what he thought when he saw N'Joong the first time.
A lot of tall people auditioned and he never really thought he'd get the bottom role but he initially hoped he'd get Ming's character. He would play it well if he tried. Unfortunately his face doesn't scream fuckboy in any way.
Still glad that he went through the audition without a hitch and without hesitation on the part of the director. He immediately got booted to Kit's character right off the first script reading.
What he never expected was being paired with a boy. A high school kid who doesn't look like a kid. He's a fucking giant is what he is.
Joong bent down to pick him up when the director asked. The body proportion was simply astounding. He would understand if a guy works out and get a body like Hercules but the kid haven't even hit the gym yet. How unfair.
When he held unto Joong's shoulders he felt insecure with their width difference. He must have missed the chance when God showered good body proportions because Joong ticked all the right boxes of every girls dreams.
He got even more insecure with himself when he found out that Joong was half Turkish. It explains the height despite his youth.
*I'm already aware that he is not but let's just say that he is.
"P'Nine, I'll try my best," the smile and the earnestness of the kid made him feel inferior. People blessed with good looks just need to smile and everybody seems to like them without really doing anything.
He refuses to be sucked into that shit.
He was just caught off guard with how handsome the boy was up close. Thai blood mixed with other ethnicity really produces the best of...what the fuck.Never again. Don't think! He wanted to castigate himself for blushing and getting shy. 'Man up Nine!' he shouted in his mind.
He'll try to act better than he did in his auditions. Hard work always pays off better than just being handsome.
"Sure," he replied nonchalantly to Joong when the kid introduced himself and promised to do his best which he doubts the kid could do.
Workshop
Motive Village"Phi. Sawatdee." Joong greeted him like how he greeted everybody else.
The director planned a two week workshop before the actual shooting starts. Almost all of them are amateurs except for P'Sammy who had acted in a couple of BL series before.
In fact, she must have acted in all of them.
*A/N: She'll be in Until We Meet Again Series and I'm a sucker for OhmFluke too. They have chemistry and does great fanservice. Yoh, Yatch is part of the swim team!
P. S. Mark, Mean and Saint will appear in TharnType the series as their characters in LBC. Can't wait for Oct 7 to come.
The workshop kicked off with basic fitness exercises and pronunciation lessons. Some of the main cast are mixed thai and others simply lived abroad. The guy playing Phana is half british and the guy playing Forth is an international student who lived abroad up until highschool.
*A/N: I don't know why Pavel speaks fluent British-English. I'm just assuming he lived abroad or something. We'll find out in the future. If you know, comment it here. Thanks.
Edit: It's a kiwi accent apparently. Thanks a bunch!
Physical exercises were necessary when some of the cast would have to expose skin for the shooting but basically to also keep fit.
He felt intimidated by the other cast members when they showed up for the first workshop. Everybody looks handsome and his petite self can't compete with all the testosterone in the room. Why did he even think he could get the role of Ming?
He looked around the room. Dome who's playing Beam has dimples that it made him look cute when smiling. He could also pull off a stoic face when he needed to. Phana looks more of a foreigner than thai but he seems like a very easygoing person.
Pavel lools like he could kill a person with his triceps if he bothered to choke a person. He must be a health conscious person. Or just crazy. He tends to laughs and joke around a lot.
Then there's Joong. He can't figure out this kid. He seems bored at times but also attentive when needed to. He listens well but also has this i-don't-care attitude around him. Too energetic at times but he keeps the atmosphere light.
"Let's do skinship workshop. You need to be comfortable with each other so I want you all to pair up with your partners and then hug each other for 15 mins straight," the producer ordered.
He looked at Joong who's as bewildered as him but nevertheless held his hand to close the distance.
"I'm sorry P." Joong whispered.
"There's no need to be sorry. It's just a hug," he anwered though he wondered why his own heart is thundering like shit when it shouldn't.
It's probably because it's the first time a male stranger, who's bigger than him, is embracing him like a cocoon. Or an overgrown dog.
Joong held their body tight and his arms circled around his waist. He didn't know what to do with his own arms so he settled it on Joong's shoulders.
"Talk to me P, since we're stuck for 15 minutes. Are you also in high school?" Joong asked. His eyebrows shot up.
He knows he looks young for his face but the slight dusting of stubble should have reflected his age.
He unexptedly felt grateful for not starting the conversation first. His introverted self can't seem to open a good topic to talk about in this very awkward situation.
He looked up. Shit. He's straining his neck so much.
He never experienced this kind of hardship when talking to his friends. Do girls have stiff neck all the time? He might seriously develop neck problems after the shooting and promotions.
"I'm in university."
He didn't bother asking Joong the same because everybody effin knows the kid is still in high school.
"What's your hobby?" Joong interrogated more.
"Listening to music. You? " he briefly answered avoiding Joong's light brown eyes.
They aren't in that level to be asking deep existential questions though he wanted to ask how the God's blessed this child the height that he always wanted.
"Games."
Of course. He's a kid. What did he expect? He loved games at one point of his life too.
"Figures. So, do you speak Turkish?" he asked. He's been wondering it for some time now. He knows Benjamin and Pavel speaks English fluently. They're in the same university and they've conversed in english sometimes.
"I do. Want to learn it, Phi?" Joong asked. It irks him how Joong is looking at him from above his head.
"Sure, give me something easy."
"Seni Seviyorum," Joong said and he repeated with all his might. He nailed it after several repititions.
"What does that mean?" he belatedly asked.
Joong smirked or smiled. He couldn't tell the difference.
"I love you." Joong whispered to his ear.
Oh. He should have asked before he countlessly repeated the phrase in Joong's face.
Now he'll be forever hunted by Joong's low voice whispering i-love-yous to his ear.
