Naira's Pov
'Naira meri sherni just hold on! Sab theek hojaigaa.' Kartik kept mumbling these words to me or rather assuring himself that I would be fine. One of my hands had a weak grip around his neck and one reached my stomach where blood dripped down mercilessly. While my head rested on his chest exactly where his heart was. The golden heart of my love that was trying its best not to shatter into pieces.
He was shattered but with all those broken pieces of his heart, he gathered courage for me.
As we escaped the area which was burning in fire I saw many men out there putting off the fire, Many people helping their loved ones who were injured and crying in pain. It did cause alot of damage to many and then I again lifted my weak eyelids to my one and only. Tension, hurry, pain all over his face just to see me safe. I saw no fire around as Kartik sped up to get out of here but we were still in this place. It looked like he took a shorter route to reach out and the place we were in was quite quiet and there was no sight of many people there. It seemed like it was burning some minutes ago and the fire was put off. That's when my gaze trailed back to my love's gorgeous face. I looked intently memorizing each and every feature of his as if it's for the last time.
He walked like he was almost running carrying me but one unnoticed ladder in the way caused his foot to twist that made us fall. As we fell his arms and hands tightly held me more into him so that I don't get hurt. He fell really bad and those silent growls of pain that escaped his mouth clearly told he had sprained his ankle. My weak self who wasn't able to open the eyelids properly, on the second of feeling my love's pain shot wide.
'Naira Naira tum theek ho? Lagi tou nahi I am so sorry! I'm sorry mujhay dekh kar chalna chahiyay tha.' Before I could even say anything my overprotective everything bullodozed me with questions that spun my head more. But that dizziness washed over when I saw him trying to get up but wasn't able to. He got hurt and definitely needed to sit down. There weren't many people for help as we took the shorter route and I couldn't see him in pain.
'Kartik! Kartik dekho meri taraf! You need to settle down. Aisay nahi ho paaiga you couldn't even walk right now. Agar aur koshish kari tou aur dard hoga baith jaao yahan.' And he did as I told because he knew I was right and not for himself but for me he settled down against the wall so that gathering his strength again he could take us out.
He leaned his head against the wall with me in his lap gulping in the unbearable pain in his ankle. He needed a minute or two to stand back. But he didn't left me for a second. His eyes shot up instantly to me as I almost led out a loud groan due to the pain of the wound in my stomach.
'Naira shhh bus we will be there jaan. Bahar hamaray liyay zaroor help hogee bus mai tumhay yahan se nikal loon.' And he tried to get up again drinking down the fear of seeing me in pain.
'Kartikk! Tumharay do minute baithnay se mai mar nahi jaaon gee.' I almost shouted so he could understand and he sat with a thud shedding silent tears and looking straight towards the ground keeping me in his firm hold.
I joined our foreheads cupping his face with my hands and instantly his hands reached my face that were holding me before. It seemed gluing our foreheads we both were trying to remove each other's pain in silence. He leaned closer and closer until our lips were inches apart.
'I really don't know how I survived without you. I wouldn't be able to do it again. Mai mar jaaon ga Naira.'
Kartik mumbled, his warm breaths moving towards my cheeks, my neck and then my ears.
'I can not loose you Naira, I just can't. Tum hee mera sab kuch ho. Meri zinadgi, meri jaan, meri rooh ho tum. I love you, I love you and I love you so much. Kehdo keh tum kabhi mujhay chor kar nahi jaaogi kyun keh is baar mai sach mai mar jaaon ga.'
He whispered these words with pain and love clear in his words into my ears and tears continuosuly made their way down my cheeks as if someone crushed my heart into a million pieces.
