As the Palulukan ran through the forest to the tree, I heard and saw an explosion as it went above the forest.

I cheered loudly, knowing what happened. "Good going Jake! Took down that damned carrier." I shouted into the air right before a second one went off. I threw my head back and laughed. "Let's hope Quaritch is dead." I said as I pat the Palulukan on the neck, hearing it purr in response.

My ears perked up as I heard a sound off to the side. I frowned as I realized it was in the direction of our linking bunker. 'Lulu, let's go check.' I said to the cat creature, nick naming her as she growled softly, turning towards where I was leaning.

As we got closer, I see one of those robot suits aiming a gun at the bunker. "AH!" I screamed as Lulu roared, causing them to turn around as the Palulukan pounced on them, knocking them to the ground. It quickly got back up as I pushed Lulu forward again, but they threw us off.

Looking inside, I realized it was Quaritch as I hissed. Lulu copied as he picked up his gun, firing at us as we dodged, jumping on top of him as she snatched his gun away. 'Break it.' I ordered as she slammed it onto the ground multiple times before it snapped.

Quaritch rolled out from underneath us and punched Lulu, making her stagger back as I groaned in pain, feeling hers. He even tried to throw a swing at me, but I laid flat against the Palulukan's back, avoiding it. However, the Colonel picked us up, throwing us against a tree as we slid down it, landing on the ground.

I looked over to see he had pulled out a robot sized knife. "Come on kitty cat!" He mocked me as I hissed. Before I could say anything, Lulu pounced at him, but Quaritch quickly stabbed her in the stomach with the knife, causing us both to cry out in pain due to the bond.

He sliced into her with the knife a few more times before throwing us to the side where the Palulukan landed on my leg. The robot then jumped over to us and delivered one more strike to Lulu's heart, making me cry out again in anguish for her death as she laid still.

I tried to get out, but the heavy animal's body prevented that as its dead weight sat on my trapped leg. Quaritch smirked at me, obviously happy with this outcome as I hissed and growled at him, trying to shove the big cat off of me.

"Leave him alone!" A familiar voice ordered as I looked over to see Jake and Tsu'tey jump into the clearing, my mate being the one to yell. I relaxed for a moment as the Colonel turned around to look at them, silently thanking Eywa once more.

"Give it up, Quaritch. It's all over." Jake told the deranged man as he pointed his knife at them. "Nothing's over while I'm breathing." He replied. "I kinda hoped you'd say that." Jake muttered as he charged the same time Quaritch did, picking up the blade from the broken gun just as the knife swung down at him, using it to block.

Tsu'tey got out his bow from his back and knocked and fired an arrow. However, he sadly missed as Quaritch continued to try and stab Jake, with my brother deflecting each strike.

Eventually, Jake got lucky as Quaritch's blade got stuck in the handle of Jake's weapon as he broke it off, throwing it away. With no more knife to use, the army dog used the robot's fists to swing at Jake as he dodged the blows.

Tsu'tey jumped up onto the robot's back while the human was distracted and used an arrow to break the glass, narrowly missing Quaritch's heart as he didn't push it in deep enough. The Colonel sucked in one more breath of oxygen before holding his breath, having no oxygen mask to use.

My mate jumped off before Quaritch could grab him as he grabbed ahold of the blade Jake held before throwing it at Tsu'tey. Thankfully, he dodged, but the blade dented the window of the linking bunker, but not breaking it.
