Chapter Two

My alarm goes of and i get up and head to the bathroom. I'm feeling anxious and excited about starting my new job. After I'm showered and ready I grab my bag and car keys and lock the door.
I sit in my car and take a few deep breaths before setting off to work.
I get to work and head into reception.
"Hi (y/n), Ms Venable asked me to show you to her office when you got here" Anabella says.
"Ok, Anabella is she really as bad as they make out?" I ask suddenly feeling extremely nervous.
"I'll let you be the judge of that, she seemed happy this morning and said she couldn't wait to meet you, that's a first" she says as we get in the elevator.
"Oh really? I'm so nervous" I say.
"Don't be, I'm sure you'll be great" Anabella says smiling at me.
We walk out of the elevator and through the office to Ms Venable's office.
Anabella knocks the door and walks in.
"Ms Venable-"
"What did I say about knocking? you wait until I tell you to come in. Get out of my sight." Ms Venable says and Anabella disappears from the room.
"Close the door (y/n) and have a seat" she says.
Her voice is deep and sexy, up close she is even more beautiful.
She's wearing a light purple blazer and knee length skirt, a white shirt, purple tie, purple heels, a black belt around her waist with a gold design at the front and her cane.
I watch her as she walks over to her chair to sit down.
"Hello (y/n), as you know you'll be my new assistant, I hope you won't turn out to be a disappointment like the rest of them, I've heard great things about you and I hope we can get along well" she says.
"I hope we can get along too, thank you for the flowers on Friday they were absolutely gorgeous" I say.
"You're welcome, ok so I have a list of your personal details I just want you to go over them to make sure everything's correct" she says and slides the paper over to me.
I have a read through it and everything's up to date.
"Yes, that's all correct, can I just ask one question?"
"Of course" Ms Venable says.
"Why have you went through so many assistants in such a short time?" I say looking down at my hands.
"Look up at me" she says and I do as I'm told.
"Good girl. All my previous assistants haven't been up to my standard, I need someone who takes the job seriously and listens to me, I expect everything to go smoothly and you will make that happen for me by organising everything, such as my diary, meetings, phone calls and also bringing me coffee in the morning" Ms Venable says.
'Did she just say good girl, why is that turning me on?' I think to myself before talking.
"Yes Ms Venable, that will all be no problem, I want to do everything I can to make your job easier for you" I say.
"Alright then, I've left a list of things I need you to do on your desk, if I need you I will call you" she says and smiles.
She has a beautiful smile, her teeth are so white and perfect.
I get up and exit her office, which is gorgeous, the walls are a light purple with one wall a darker shade of purple, she has floor to ceiling windows behind her desk which gives a lovely view of the city, grey flooring, a white desk, a light purple couch which sits against the wall with thats dark purple and all of her office accessories are purple.
I sit down at my desk and read over the list. She wants me to phone a few people to set up meetings and write some letters.
I log into the computer and get to work.
I'm writing a letter when my phone goes.
"Hello, Ms Venable's assistant how may I help you?" I say.
"I like the way you answer the phone, come into my office please" Ms Venable says and hangs up.
I knock the door and wait for her to tell me to come in remembering what Anabella done this morning.
"Come in (y/n)" I hear so I open the door and head over to her desk.
"Would you like to join me for lunch? Maybe we can get to know each other?" Ms Venable asks.
"Em, yes that would be great, will I meet you down at the cafeteria?" I ask.
"We're not going to the cafeteria sweetheart, I have us a table booked in my favourite restaurant, be ready at 1pm" she says smiling.
"Ok, I'll be ready, anything else Ms Venable?" I ask.
"No that's everything just now, I'll see you at one" she says going back to her laptop.
I head back out to my desk and call Claire to say I won't be able to make lunch.
"I know I said we'd have lunch it's just this one time, she's booked us a table at her favourite restaurant" I say.
"Well, have fun, I want to hear all about it tonight" Claire says.
"You will be the first one to know all about it, I'll speak to you later, I love you" I say.
"I love you too, bye" she says, I say bye and put the phone down.
I finish typing up the letters just in time for Ms Venable coming out of her office to see if I'm ready.
"Are you ready to go?" She asks.
"Yes I am" I say.
"Ok, I have a car waiting out front for us" she says and we walk together to the escalator.
Everyone in the offices eyes are on us. Ms Venable walks with her head up high not caring that they're all staring.
We get into the car and head to the restaurant.
We walk into the restaurant and she confirms the table for Venable and the waitress shows us to a private section of the restaurant.
"I've never been here before, it's really fancy" I say looking at the menu.
She simply smiles at me and I feel my heart starting to beat faster.
"Now that you're my assistant you can expect to visit "fancy" places with me, only if you want to that is" she says.
"I would love too" I say and return the smile.
"Order whatever you want, what do you want to drink?" She asks.
"I'll just have a coke" I say.
"I meant a real drink" she says and tries not to laugh.
"Oh sorry I just thought cause I'm working, eh I'll have a vodka and coke, with ice, please" I say.
The waitress comes over to take our drink and food orders.
"So, tell me a bit about yourself" Ms Venable says.
"What do you want to know, I'm not a very special person, I'm just a plain Jane" I say fiddling with my fingers.
"Come on, I'm sure that's not true, don't think so little of yourself, you're a beautiful hardworking girl. Do you have a boyfriend?" She asks.
"Thank you for saying that, you're gorgeous if you don't mind me saying and no I don't have a boyfriend, I- I'm gay" I say feeling my checks get red.
"Do you have a girlfriend then?" She asks.
"No I haven't had a relationship for a few years now, I'm waiting for the right woman I suppose, I'm tired of girls my age, I want a real woman. what about you?" I ask her.
"Well I'm waiting for the right girl. I'm straight forward, you'll learn that. I know we don't really know each other but I think, no I know you're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. I've had my eye on you for a while that's why I took you on without an interview, I knew you would be perfect for the job." Ms Venable says smiling.
"Thank you Ms Venable, I hope I can meet your standards as your assistant" I say feeling my cheeks flushing.
"Oh I'm sure you will" she says.
We have small talk while we're eating and when we're done she asks for the bill.
"How much do I owe?" I say.
"You don't owe anything darling, I've got it" She says and winks.
'Fuck Me, she's so sexy' I think as she stands up.
"After you, (y/n)" she says and as I walk past her she touches my lower back.
We head out to the car and she tells the driver to take us back to work.
We get to the office floor and all eyes are on us again. I don't know why people hate her because she's been nothing but nice to me, I mean I seen the way she was with Anabella this morning but she's been so sweet to me maybe it was just a one off. I can't help but feel attracted to her even though I know I would never have a chance with a woman like Ms Venable.
The rest of the day goes by quickly and before I know it it's time to go home.
I knock Ms Venables door.
"Come in" I hear her calling out.
"Hey, I was just coming to say thank you again for lunch and for making me feel comfortable on my first day. I had a great time with you and I can't wait to get to know you more" I say and she leans back in her chair with a smirk on her face.
"The pleasure was all mine (y/n), I think we're going to get along just fine. Congratulations on being the only assistant I've ever had who hasn't pissed me off on the first day." She says.
"I feel honoured" I say jokingly and she laughs. I made her laugh, fuck, her laugh is like music to my ears I want to hear more of it.
"As you should, ok I'll let you go, I'll see you tomorrow (y/n)" she says and I wave and start walking to the elevator.
When I get home I phone Claire to fill her in on my first day.
"Bitch Ms Venable has a crush on you, I know it" Claire says after getting all the details of the day.
"No she doesn't shut up" I say secretly hoping it's true.
"Trust me, taking you to lunch, calling you beautiful and all those pet names, asking if you have a girlfriend, she wants you!" she says.
"Claire I highly doubt it, I mean yes she's beautiful but why would she be interested in someone like me, she is way out of my league" I say.
"(y/n), do YOU have a crush on Ms Venable?" Claire asks.
Shit, maybe I shouldn't have said that.
"Eh, maybe I have a tiny lil crush on her, she's so sweet to me Claire, it's like I'm drawn to her and I haven't felt this way about anyone before, but firstly she's my boss, secondly she wouldn't want me and thirdly I can't fuck it up and lose my job so even if I do have a crush on her I can't act on it." I say feeling sad.
"Listen (y/n), I know people call her the she devil and say how horrible she is and usually I would never say this but maybe you should give it a go, you always bang on about how you want an older woman and Ms Venable said she's looking for a girl, you could be the one for her. I say you should just keep doing what you're doing and see if she puts the moves on you first because I have a feeling it won't be long before she does, you're beautiful, sweet, kind and anyone would be lucky to have you." Claire says.
"Ugh it's been a long day, I'm gonna head to bed and have a think about all this. I will keep you up to date on anything else that happens ok?" I say.
"Ok babe, I'll speak to you tomorrow, can we do lunch tomorrow? I miss my bestie already" she says.
"Yes, I promise I will do lunch with you tomorrow, I miss you too girl, night night, love you" I say.
"Good night babe, I love you too" Claire says and I hang up the phone.
I get ready for bed and as soon as I lie down all I can think of is Ms Venable and how I can't wait to see her tomorrow.
