The dark mage smiled maniacally as he reminisced his first take over, it was a small town near the great city of Demacia, but it was useful to him none the less. When the dark mage strolled into the town everyone ignored him, until a huge meteor struck the middle of the town as the dark mage cackled at the fear and destruction he had caused. The wizard continued rampaging in the town, destroying and vaporising anything he pleased.

The dark mage was soon face to face with the mayor of the small town, he was clearly scared but put on a brave face.

"G-get out of o-our town d-demon" the mayor stuttered which made the wizard laugh louder

"Surrender, or die" all Veigar received was a nod, but the moment the nod finished Veigar turned around quickly summoning a dark blast of energy that struck the nearby villager who had charged him with a butchers knife, there was nothing left of the villager but a purple flame that sat there glowing before travelling towards the mage "Fool, anyone else want to try their luck?" He asked as the glowing ball seemed to disappear into the wizard as if his being absorbed the essence.

The dark mage sent a glare at the mayor for his futile attempt to stop him, the mayor cowered at his glare.

"W-we surrender" he stuttered as the mage raised his staff at him, the staff started to glow. The mayor raised his arms in a pathetic attempt to defend himself but the dark mage just raised his wand as a cage instantly formed around the small town. The mage didn't stop there as he made his way towards him until he was in front of the mayor as he gripped his collar with his big metal gauntlet he let lose a laugh.

"Know, that if the tables were turned, I would show you no mercy" the dark mage said darkly before dropping the mayor and turning around instantly toward the group of people around him "Anyone who leaves this cage, anyone who tries to destroy it, I will be notified and they won't get to see another day" he threatened before walking off towards the exit.

The dark mage felt a surge of power enter through him as his grin grew, each person killed gave him a bit of power, but every town or city he took overfilled him with even more power than he could ever dream of. He let out an evil cackle as he turned back to the small town he took over before leaving to continue his conquest.

The dark mage was soon well known around the world and every faction did their best attempts to stop him but with every battle won, Veigar just grew stronger and stronger. After a while even the great walls of Demacia couldn't stop him, the petricite walls couldn't store all of Veigars magic and soon crumbled into dust. Noxus had put up a fight and suffered the most casualties, the ones left were either not even strong enough to cast a simple ignite spell or were the ones who had heard of the iron revenant who knew he would be stopped someday. The wizard mainly ignored Ionia, he knew that meddling with a land full of magic would backfire greatly. The Shuriman empire and mount Targon were tough to conquer but by that time the dark mage had achieved near-immortality with his magic, it became like a flick of the wrist to him.

The dark mage had soon conquered every land known to man. The worst thing was, people were no longer free to leave their towns unless they were given permission by Veigar himself. There was only one problem with the mage's plan, he had conquered every place known to man, but not every place known to every creature. He knew not to tangle with the void, but he knew one place where he used to call home and although the memory was still fuzzy to him he could clearly remember how to find it.

The dark mage walked within a forest aware of all the monsters that were cowering at his presence, he grinned slightly at the monsters but he wasn't after them. What he was after would be invisible to the human eye, but the mage was no human. Although many had assumed he was he knew full well what race he was part of, he hated how incompetent his race was, but what made him the angriest is how everyone looked down at his race as the childish innocent creatures they were.
