Julie came closer to me.

Julie; I don't understand.

Me; Neither do I. I remember clearly what happened. Me and Marcus saw Jacob in the kitchen.

Julie; You remembered Jacob's face?

Me: Kinda. But I know it was him!

She sighed.

Julie: I wanna show you something too.

We went to the backyard.

Julie; Jacob said that the robber escaped from this door.

Me; But no one saw him, right?

Julie; Well... there was a camera in the backyard.

Me; Really? So did you see the robber? Did the police took this camera to find him?

Julie; Actually... this camera is illegal.

Me: What do you mean?

Julie: I can't tell you right now.

Me; So-

Julie; So I didn't mention anything. Some minutes before the police came, I'd already gone and hidden it.

Me; Oh gosh... At least did you see the video?

She didn't reply.

Julie; Come with me.

We went inside in a room.

There was a computer.

She typed something and then a video started playing.

Julie; It's the time when the accident happened.

Time went by but nothing happened.
The image was frozen.

The only thing that was moving was a tree next to the backyard.

Me; But Julie... nothing happened.

Julie; Exactly.

I was confused.

Me; I don't understand.

Julie; Y/N... Jacob was lying. As soon as we came inside the house we saw you and Marcus lying on the floor. Jacob said that he had just woken up and he saw you like this.

Me; Okay wait. I've never asked. What happened to Marcus?

Her eyes got wet.

Julie; You were both injured.

Me; Okay I know that I hit my head really bad. But Marcus?

Julie; The robber was holding a knife. He was wearing gloves so we couldn't find his footprints. Jacob took the knife and he gave it to the police so there were only his footprints.

Me: You're saying that Marcus was injured with a knife?

She nodded.

Me; Gosh. Did he survive?

Julie; Well, fortunately it wasn't very deep. Your mom wanted Marcus to go to another hospital.

Me; My mum?

Julie; Yeah.

Me; Do you know why?

Julie; It's better for you to find Marcus and talk about it.

Me; Yeah... Do you know where I can find him?

Julie: I'm not very sure but yes.
