The next day in school, i was actually exhausted. The whole night before i was planning with Paris, Klay and Steph and I barely got any sleep. I had gym first thing in the morning, which I also was not looking forward to.
"Hey, sweets," i lightly smiled walking up to Paris.
"Hey, girl," she smiled. "You look tired, did you sleep last night?" She asked.
"Barely," I answered and opened my locker, shoving my school bag in it so i could get my gym clothes out of the bag.
"Oh,"
"Hey, Paris. I have some news for you. Yesterday when I was sitting in the back of the car with Steph, he told me that Klay likes you, I'm not even joking," I said, regaining a bit of energy from how fast I was talking.
Her face went into confusion.
"What? Really? Does Steph know I like him? I can't go out with my best friends ex.. even if I did like him, which I don't," Paris said slamming her locker shut as her clothes laid in her hands.
"It's just crazy, that's all. But at least we get to help them with the gym later on today," I smiled... sort of. I ignored her question about him knowing about her liking him. Because I just didn't want to get into that right now, especially not this early.
We walked into the gym and all of the basketball group of boys were already there, along with all of the girls from our class. We weren't late tho, they were just early. Everyone in my gym class loved gym. It was like a free period to do something that they actually enjoyed, especially the boys.
I watched as Klay stared at us walking in. But not me specifically.. at Paris. Paris waved, but not at Klay.. at Steph. Steph smiled.. but not at Paris.. at me. I thought at that very moment. That maybe it's time to move on from Klay. He obviously doesn't like me anymore, and I don't know what happened in the last like, 48 hours but something happened.
"Hi," Klay smiled as he came toward us with a basketball in his hand. It was then that I realized how tall Steph and Klay actually were.
"Hey," me and Paris said at the same time. I scratched my head in awkwardness after Paris gave me a weird look.
I just turned away from all of them and went into the girls locker room to get changed. I was just too tired to deal with them right now.
I got ready into some nike shorts and a plane white baggy shirt, not wanting to expose much of my body. I never liked showing off of my body until this year when I started to change my style, which I don't hate, it's just hard to change into something you're not quite comfortable in. I left my hair down cause it wasn't very long anyway.
I walked out to the gym and found Klay and Paris laughing, which wasn't putting me into a better mood.
I saw Stephen on the other side of the court closes to the girls locker room shooting around with the new basketball the gym teacher threw in at the first day of school.
I oddly walked over to him instead of Paris and Klay.
"And that's anotherrrrr three pointer," Steph smirked not looking at me. I knew he was talking to me tho.
"Wow, impressive, big guy," i chuckled walking towards him. He grabbed his ball and put in in between his arms as he looked at me, up and down.
"Uhm?" I asked, snapping my fingers in his face so he would look into my eyes and not my body. His eyes popped up and he stared into my hazel eyes. I tilted my head slightly
"Paris said you were tired," He spoke almost nicely. "And cranky," he whispered the last part, leaning in a little.
"I'm not cranky, I'm just tired. You guys had me up all night," i said, putting my hand on my hip.
