Jen and Emma walked down the hall side-by-side. Emma's arms would be crossed, gazing down at the rambling Jen. "It makes no sense to me...! Like...why would someone hate someone simply because of how they think of something. It's a personal opinion and no amount of hate will change it." Jen frowned with annoyance filling her to the brim. Emma quietly laughed it off while they finally got to the elevator. The large metal doors opened up with a couple of people walking out and one other man standing inside. Part of the man's face would be partially covered by his long curly brown locks, only able to see his sharp jawline and his thin lips. He had on an ordinary dark grey hoodie and a pair of light blue baggy jeans. The two girls would step into the elevator with Jen standing in front of the man and Emma next to her.
While the three stood in the elevator, a couple of minutes would go by until the elevator would start to rumble. Jen's eyes went wide as she felt her chest tighten. She quickly looked back at Emma, fear filling Jen's eyes. Emma hurriedly let out her hand, then the lights went out. the elevator now pitch black.
She felt the feminine hand grip tightly to hers and pull her in close, enclosing her in her chest. Emma was a towering 5'9 in her three inch heels while Jen sat at a short 5'3 in her two inch heels. Jen shook terrified as Emma rubbed her back, quietly hushing her, keeping her from having a complete break down. Everything is gonna be okay...Everything is gonna be okay...The elevator is temporarily down...It's fine...She was completely wrong. Jen felt a pair of masculine hands gently rest on her hips and another body press against her back. Just as she was about to scream in terror, the lights would started to flicker back on. She flicked her head back to see what he looked like but the doors would open and the male bolted out of the elevator, too quick for Jen to get a good look at him. She froze in fear and looked back at Emma, her body now trembling and shaking, immediately breaking down.

Jen couldn't bare what she just went though. Emma hugged her tight and let Jen cry hard into her chest as she quickly pressed the "CLOSE DOOR" button and went back to Jen's floor. Jen sniffled and coughed wiping her face slightly,"I...I have to get to work...I-I have a lot to get done today...I need-" Emma's demeanor changed once again, but this time more...genuine,"Don't, Jen. Something just happened to you and it obviously had to do with that man. I'm not letting you go to work, worried about him seeing you again or anything of that sort. You're going back to your apartment, and you're not gonna be so damn stubborn." Her eyes widened slightly as they made eye contact. Why... Jen began to focus on the details of Emma's eyes and she noticed an soft gentle brown, resting behind what seemed to be her normal emerald green. "Your-" The elevator would ding and Emma wrapped her arm around Jen like everything was normal and walked back to her decent sized apartment.
She still couldn't wrap her head around what just happened. A random man touching her in an elevator. What are the odds of that ever happening? Why her? Was this planned? She stumbled in, almost tripping on her glossy wooden floors. Emma managed to keep her up and grounded as she walked her to the kitchen, letting her sit down on her birch bar stool. She took a deep breath just as Emma looked down at her with concern hidden in her eyes. Jen watched her lips move but heard no words come out. Jen stared at her blankly as thoughts rushed through her mind. What is this happens again? Who was he? Why did he run so fast? Will I be able to leave my apartment? Is he stalking me? Does he intend to hurt me?? A stinging feeling would hit her cheek, now noticing the red haired girl holding onto her face gently. For a split second, Jen didn't recognize who it was and began to hyperventilate. Her breath would be hitched, barely being able to intake air. Emma brushed the dark hair out of Jen's face and leaned in close. Her emerald green eyes locked with Jen's hazel. "Hey...Shh..I'm right here. You're safe...You're okay, I promise. Alright? Take a deep slow breath for me...", Emma spoke softly with a gentle smile on her face. She did exactly as told as she gently put her hands over Emma's, showing she was starting to calm down. She watched her smile grow wider as she rubbed her thumb over the peak of her rosy cheeks.
Jen began to breathe normally with a harsh gulp, grabbing Emma's hand and putting it down to her side,"Thanks Em'...I appreciate your help..." Emma couldn't help letting out a chuckle,"What would you do without me, hm?" She said with a grin and tapped her forehead whilst Jen Laughed a bit and batted her hand."I would be doing a lot right now thank you very much. It'd be a lot of crying and panicking but it's definitely something, alright?" They both shared a laugh and banter until Emma calmed down,"Okay but honestly, one of us needs to tell the big guy why we aren't at work...And I believe you should be the one to do it." Jen snorted and waved her hand a bit,"Okay. Funny one. Let's be serious now." Her brow rose as she stared at her, her arms crossing. "You aren't joking..." Emma nodded her head and Jen whined and trudged over to her phone and dialed Lawrence, giving Emma the side eye. She looked away from Emma as she heard her boss answer the phone, his deep voice boomed through the phone,"Why are you missing work? Are you okay? Since when do you miss a day??" She smiled softly as she kicked the ground a bit,"I'm okay boss. Just some things happened and I'm hanging out with Emma in my apartment." A jeered sigh would be heard over the phone along with loud shuffling,"I'm heading over there. I'll be there in ten." Jen blinked in confusion,"Wait wha-" The line would cut.
She looked over at Emma who would be staring at the wall, tapping her fingers against the counter. "Em? You good?" Emma snapped out of her thoughts and looked over at Jen with a quick smile,"Ya! I'm good! Everything okay with Lawrence...?" She smile wide and nodded, holding her phone tight,"He's coming over..." The red headed girl face immediately dropped into a spiteful frown,"He's coming here...?" She would be taken back for a second as she looked at her worried,"I...Is that okay?" Emma pushed herself off the counter and walked to Jen's dresser, responding in a cold tone,"Ya. I'm borrowing some clothes. You change in here and I'll change in the bathroom." She watched her movements in confusion as she heard a loud slam from her drawers and another from her bathroom door. What's gotten into her...? I don't think I did anything wrong...Plus he didn't even get the chance to ask if she was okay with it... Jen quickly shook her thoughts awake and walked to her closet and grabbed her burgundy knitted crop top and her black ripped jeans. She slipped out of her clothes, getting lost in her thoughts again. Wait why does he even want to come here? He's a big business man who has a job and plenty of work to do?? Like, what the hell is up with that? Go to work you hobo. She laughed to herself as she achieved putting on her clothes and pulled her hair up into a messy bun.
Jen sat on her bed with a pout waiting for Emma to come out of her bathroom. Minutes would pass by while Jen sat there quietly until a gentle knock would be heard at her door. She opened the door to see the dirty blonde haired man with a pointed jaw and indigo eyes, his built yet partially lanky fitting him nicely in his cool grey suit. His hair would be a mess, almost as though he was in a rush. "You said something happened so I wanted to make sure everything was okay here..." Her cheeks turned a rosy pink with a nervous laugh, stepping back from the door,"No no no! I'm okay. It wasn't anything that happened in my apartment, it was something that happened on the way to work." He furrowed his brows in slight confusion,"Well what happened on the way?" Before Jen could respond a loud boom would be heard from bathroom as the door flew open. Emma stepped out of the bathroom, essentially a whole new person. Her ginger hair would now be a short pixie cut with pitch black fluffy hair and her emerald green eyes a dark charcoal with hints of brown in the center. Wait. A. Fucking. Minute.
