She was walking down the street to the cafe, it was 8:09 and she was supposed to meet Jaehyun at 8.
Ugh! I'm going to be late, she said glancing at her smart watch.
Her hair was flailing in the cool night breeze and her heart beating fast. She hated being late.
"Hi, I'm here to meet Jaehyun." She said to the waiter at the revolving door.
"We had reservations for 8.""Of course let me just check our list. " she was getting snippy waiting and nervous he might not show up or left before she got there.
"Ah yes, reservations for two at 8. No fish." She hated fish.
"Yes, that's right is My date here yet?"
"Follow me." The waiter said.
He grabbed a black leather menu and led her into the restaurant. She looked at every table for him. Old couples with cream frilly dresses and old men with cigars pouring expensive wine. She wondered why Jaehyun had chosen this restaurant for them to meet.
"Here we are." Said the waiter and led her to a round table with a boy that looked a lot like Haechan, Jaehyun's baby member.
"Haechan? What are you doing here?" He was dressed in a black suit and looked positively adorable with a red bow tie at his neck.
He just smiled, pulled out her chair.
"Some wine?" He asked lifting an expensive bottle of wine.
"Haechan, you're underage."
"I'm not drinking the wine. It's for you." He said smiling. "Please, can you sit down?"
"I was supposed to meet Jaehyun for a date. Where is he?" She asked her eyes big, her liner dark and winged. Her fists balling.
"Please, can you sit down? I promise I will explain everything." He gestured to the seat.
"Haechan, just tell me where Jaehyun is." She said, annoyed.
"I can't. I'm under orders not to."
"Is he coming?"
"Yes, of course he is."
"Okay, I'll sit down but you better start explaining." She sat, neatening her black dress under her and crossing her freshly shaved legs.
"Jaehyun, was so happy when you finally decided to have dinner with him," Haechan began. "But, see, he doesn't really like you..."
She crossed her arms which was exactly how she felt.
"Then why did he agree?" Her red lips were tight.
"He has his reasons. He won't tell me."
"Well, if he's not going to show up then I should just leave..." She got up.
Haechan did too. "No! Wait," Haechan pulled out a phone and suddenly an alarm rung loud, blaring in the restaurant.
