Vanessas POV
Ok! I have everything ready....right? Ok ok I'm gonna be late to the first day of school I really need to hurry up!
"Mom do you have my pencil case!?" I asked as I proceed to run down the stairs
"No i thought you had it" she answered
"Nope." I say disappointed
As I turn around to check the clock I realize I have 2 minutes to get to the school bus.
"OMG I HAVE TO GO" I say
"Wait what about your pencil case" says my mom
"Screw the pencil case!!" As I run out the door.
I ran as fast as I could to make in time for the bus. I can't be late on the first day at my new school!
I'm here right in time, I see the bus coming towards my bus stop.
As I get on the bus I feel all eyes looking at me and laughing.
"Do I have something on my face" I think
I brush it off and get to an empty seat towards the end of the bus.
As the bus starts driving away I look out the window.
"I wonder how this school is going to be" I think
A couple more kids got picked up and next thing I know we're at the school. I stand up and head towards the exit. As I get off I notice big crowds of kids hugging and laughing.
"Whitney Highschool"
"Well...I guess this is it..." I mumble
I enter the school and notice that this school is HUGE!
"Oh god..." i say under my breath.
As I try to find my locker I feel a hand touch my shoulder. I look back and it's a girl with really long black hair and hazel eyes.
"HEY! Are you new here? Haven't seen you around?!" The girl says
"Uh yeah I'm new" I explain
"Oh where are my manners, I'm Zoey!" She says excitedly
"Vanessa" I say
"Well Vanessa, as a experience student here I think you'll have a pretty interesting school year." She says as she giggles
"Is that..a bad thing?" I say worried
"Oh no! Well...depends." She says
"Oh" I say
"If you want I can show you around, tell you about the school and people who you should probably stay away from..from past experience" she says happily
"She seems...nice" I say In my head
"Yeah of course! I kinda need help around here" I say with a nervous laugh
"Great'! Follow me!" She says as she takes my hand and starts walking into the big crowd.
As we start pushing into people we finally arrive to my locker
"So this is your locker, you can go ahead and put your stuff in here and we'll get started!" She said with a cheerful emotion
I start putting my backpack in, when I finish I close my locker and she starts telling me about the people here
"Over there in the right corner making out with that girl, that's Jack Umana. He has a reputation of hooking up with girls and leaving them heart broken. So I recommend staying away from him"
"Over there is Emily! That's my best friend, if you'd like I can introduce you to her after I'm done showing you around" she says
"Sure, I need some friends" I say as I laugh
We walk to the first class
This is the science class room, you'll be coming here..." she checks my schedule.
"7th period!"
Right next to the science room is the lunch room, which is 6th period"
"Hm" I say interested
"Right across this hall is Math class, which you have 3rd period."
"And that's the gym room"
"We have gym together!, it's the first class you'll be going too, if you need help finding it just give me a call and we'll walk together."
As she finishes up telling me about the classes she starts talking about people I should stay away from.
"Nick."
"Nick?" I say questioning
"Let's just say...he isn't the person to mess with. He'll seem like a nice person but he just messes girls up. He doesn't care about how girls feel. So if you want to get heartbroken..which idk why you would want to..then go ahead!"
"Yeah no thanks" I say
"His friend Hunter is the same, except actually sorta cares about people's feelings." She explains
"Oh look Nick and Hunter are walking over there!" She says
As I look up I notice a tall guy, with dark brown hair, walking up that seems to be a locker.
"Wow- hes...hot" I say out loud
"Yeah right! But not the best personality" she explains
I couldn't look away from him
He looks at me and smiles as I turn away and feel red all over my face.
"Are you ok?" Zoey asks
"Y-yeah" I say nervously
The bell rings and we have to go to first period.
"Ok we have gym! Let's head there now" she says as she smiles and starts walking down the hallway.
"Hey wait up!" I say screaming at her.
