Secret Games

Chapter 2

We arrive to gym class
We get our gym shirts and head to the locker room to change
"Hey we should hang out after school so we can get to know each other better!" Zoey said
"Yeah that would be great!" I said with a smile on my face.
We headed out and sat where everyone else was.
I look up and I see that handsome guy I saw earlier.
"Nick..." I thought
"Hey Nick is in this class?" I asked Zoey
"I guess so" she said
Two girls approached Zoey and I
"Hey you're the new girl right?" She asked
"Yeah I am!" I said
"Well, just to give you a heads up, stay away from Nick. He's mine." She said with a nasty look on her face
"How about you shut up Erica" said Zoey
"Ugh whatever. Watch out new girl" she said as she walked away with her friends
"Who's that.." I asked
"Erica. The mean girl I guess you could say"
"Oh" I say
"You dont want to mess with her" she said looking at Erica
"Ok" I said

"Ok class today we are going to start with the expectations and start with the warm ups" said the gym teacher

As gym finished up we changed and headed to second period.
"What do you have right now?" Asked Zoey
"I have Medical Detectives?" I asked questioning
"Great! I have that too, cmon" she said
As I sit next to Zoey I notice Nick across the room

"You've got to be kidding me!"
"What's wrong?" Asked Zoey
"Oh..nothing" I said back
As the teacher starts talking I notice Nick looking at me
As I look back at him he winks
"Did he just...wink at me.." I think
I feel blush forming up in my face, i cover myself with my sweater
I raised my hand and asked to go to the bathroom

I got to the bathroom and looked myself in the mirror thinking to myself
"This year will definitely be interesting"
As I walk out the bathroom I notice Nick outside waiting for someone

I start to walk past him when he said something
"Hey." He says with a serious face
I look back and say it back
"Oh hey" I say nervously
"You're Vanessa right?" He asks
"Yep that's me" I shoot back
"Well I was wondering if you'd like to be friends" he said with a devilish smile
"What do I do, Zoey said to stay away from him.." I thought to myself
"Uh..yeah sure" i said
"Oh my god you're dumb why did you say that" I thought
"Cool. I'll see you around" he waved and walked away back to class
"Did I just...talk to THE Nick!" I said

A couple hours past and it was already lunch time
I got a slice of pizza with some apple juice and headed over to Zoey and her friend Emily
"Hey!" I said waving
"Hey what's up" they both said
"Vanessa this is Emily, my best friend!" She said
"Nice to meet you" I said with a smile on my face"
"Right back at you" said Emily
Zoey and Emily seemed very nice. I have a feelings we'll become really close.

Nicks POV
As Vanessa walks out of class to go to the bathroom I raise my hand and ask the same
I stand next to the bathroom door and wait for her.
As she comes out I greet her
"Hey." I said
"Oh..hey" she said looking nervous
"You're Vanessa right?" I asked
"Yep that's me" she said
"Well I was wondering if you'd like to be friends?" I asked
She looked at me with no reaction for a moment
"What's up with her" I asked myself
"Yeah...sure" she finally said 
"Cool. I'll see you around" I said as I started to walk away
"Maybe this year wont be as boring huh?" I thought to myself
Hours later past and I had to meet up with Hunter and the guys
"Hey Nick what's up" says Hunter
"Hey." I say back
"You want something to drink? he asked
"Yeah sure" I said with a grin on my face
As we start to drink we started talking about Vanessa.
"Hey have you guys seen the new girl? She's hot" says Jack
"Nah I haven't seen her around yet" explains Hunter
"I actually asked to be friends with her." I said
"Oh you're trying to get at her huh?" Jack said
"What do you think!" I said laughing
"What about a bet" said Hunter
"A bet?" Both Jack and I asked
"Yeah." Said Hunter
"What's this bet about?" I asked
"If Nick can ask out Vanessa and go out with her by the end of this semester we owe you 100 bucks!, and if you don't, then you owe us 100 bucks. What do you say?" Asked Hunter
"Hm, asking her out?" I thought to myself
"Alright. Challenge accepted" I said with a smile
Jack and Hunter both looked at eachother and laughed
"I doubt you'll be able to get her" Said Jack
"We'll see about that" I said with a grin on my face.
