My conscious was in and out for quite a while, my senses dulled but the chloroform was wearing off. I could now feel the cold metal under me, my fingers twitched. The room was silent except for a clicking. My eyes opened to a giant red clock counting down from fifteen minutes. The room was shrouded in darkness except for the bright light above me. My body was finally able to sit up but a headache rocked me side to side. I was dressed in a tight black body suit, and combat boots. Once my feet hit the ground the room came alive. Four panels in the walls opened up revealing women in full white skin tight suits with a black striped on the side. They came to life, their eyes flashing blue. I stumbled backwards as they started to walk towards me holding, what looked like armor.

"WHERE AM I?" I yelled glancing around the room with no doors other than the four panels.

I jumped over the table dodging one of their advances.

"WHO ARE YOU?!"

My adrenaline was spiked as I looked for any sign of escape. Before I could run for one of the panels, the white-blonde robot lady spoke.

"Please stop, you are not in any harm." She gestured at putting down the armor on the table. The other ladies followed suit. Their hair was in a bun and their actions were very precise.

"We are here to get you ready for the annual 200th AZYL."

I looked at her dumbfounded waiting for an explanation. When she provided none, I walked up to them still on the other side of the table.

"What is an AZYL?" I asked credulously.

They looked at each other with a blank stare then the girl to her left walked around the table bringing up a screen. It showed a vey extensive arena, with buildings, traps and different specialized areas. One had lava for its floor another had water. My stomach went sick as I realized what was happening. I was to be killed in the games as their 200th celebration. The room rolled; I grabbed the table before I could hit the floor.

"Who.... ordered this?"

They said nothing obviously not knowing the answer. Waves of anger rolled off me as I realized what I was too him. All I am to him was a thin chicken he was just fattening up to eat one day or in my case trained me to fight and die in their special anniversary game. I screamed so loud it pierced my ears making me flinch. The ladies stopped in their places staring at me shocked. They did not know what to do, it wasn't what they were used to dealing with.

I grabbed the metal table with all the armor and threw it across the room. Exerting more force than I usually do. I knew I was unnaturally strong thanks to their cerium but I didn't enjoy being like those monsters. I had never felt so helpless. Other than when I was yanked out of the rubble from my house. I saw my mom, dad and sister lifeless on the grass as their blood soaked the grass.

I felt a hand on my back tugging me out of my memories. There she stood the first to have spoken to me, her eyes softer. The air was delicate as if anyone were to walk in it would shatter. I caught my reflection in the metal and there stood prey on edge. My blue eyes shot with anger and fear, my shoulders hunched as if ready to attack at a moment's notice and there she stood cautious but trying to help. 'Not everyone in this world is trying to hurt you.' The voice in my head spoke. My stance relaxed and I turned towards her with only a silent plea of help.
