elizabeth's pov

it was the third week of my summer vacation. i was with my friend Jen and we were doing our morning run downtown L.a since it wasnt as busy in the morning.

i loved running, i have ran a total of 7 marathons and won 2nd place in two of them. i had my earbuds in my ears listening to Demi Lavatos new album.

"Liz, slow down would you." I heaed Jen say behind me.

"Sorry." I giggled, stopping so she was able to catch up.

"Where are we running to?" Jen asked stopping next to me.

"The coffee shop up ahead." I told her pointing to the end of the road where the coffee shop was.

"Race ya there!" Jen said darting before me.

"Hey no fair!" I yelled behind her.

I jogged so Jen would beat me to the coffee shop. i looked on the other side of the street to see a homeless man sitting with his dog. homeless people made me depressed. i kept my eyes on him still jogging, until i ran into someone causing him to drop papers he had in his hand.

"im so sorry!" i squealed, dropping to the floor and picking up his paper.

"yeah, next time watch out." he spat watching me pick up his papers.

"i wasnt paying attention, im really sorry." i apologized handing the guy his papers.

"ok." he said snatching the papers out of my hand and walking away.

i looked at the guy one last time he was taller than i was and had curly hair with a deep britisih accent. i couldnt see his eye because he had sunglasses on but he was rude.

i continued jogging toward the coffee shop where i saw Jen waiting for me. i looked over to the other side of the road again and saw that the homeless man was no longer there.

"geez Liz you are slow." Jen complained opening the coffee shop door for me.

"shut it i was helping this guy who dropped his papers." i said slightly pushing her.

"so anyway, one direction is staying in l.a for the summer." Jen squealed.

i absoutely hated one direction, every other girl in the world wanted them except me.

"oh god." i said rolling my eyes.

"we have to go find them one day." she told me.

    "or not." i huffed.

i ordered my coffee and Jen ordered hers.

"i dont understand why you dont like one direction they are hot." Jen giggled as we walked out of the coffee shop.

"only that zayn guy is, i would fuck him." i told her.

    "oh my gosh." Jen laughed.

"are you going to james' party tonight?" i asked Jen who was still dying of laughter.

"of course, everybody is going, its suppose to be the party of the year." Jen said sipping her coffee.

"im excited, i bought new shorts just for the occasion." i told her.

"you are so weird, i have never met a girl who doesnt wear skirts or dresses." Jen said.

"im not about that life." i giggled.
