It was a bright, vibrant, beautiful house in the sunlight. Once it got dark it was still beautiful. Bonnie was showing Evelyn around the house, looking at old artifacts from the town's history. She had read about the town on the plane ride from Arizona during the summer but Bonnie went in-depth on some of the historical facts. History was one of Evelyn's favorite subjects, it intrigued her how different life used to be and how humans have evolved from what they once were yet somehow still can be the same.

Evelyn stayed close to the Salvatore brothers, keeping a special eye on Damon. He was currently talking to Elena as Caroline stole Stefan away to dance. Evelyn grabbed a glass of champagne, walking outside to talk more with Bonnie. They sat at a table for a while just chatting away. Then the candle went out. Bonnie stared at the candle for a moment and Evelyn's breathing almost stopped when the candle re-lit itself. Bonnie freaked out and blew it out before looking at Evelyn.

"I uh, did you see?" Bonnie stuttered.

Evelyn sighed, putting down the champagne, "Looks like you really are a witch Bonnie."

"Oh, come on. Don't play like that,"

"Bonnie. I've got my own secrets. And I'll tell them to you eventually. But I'm not joking, you are a witch. And I want you to know I trust you and I would never harm you,"

Bonnie looked confused, "Why would you hurt me?"

"I wouldn't, I just wanted you to know that,"

Evelyn stood up, stretching her arms. She wanted to go home and forget everything. So she said goodnight to Bonnie and began her walk home. Bonnie tried to talk her out of it but it was useless. The woman was already walking away.

Soon after she got home she got a text from Elena, saying that something was wrong with Caroline, that there was a giant bite mark on her neck and she thinks Damon was hurting her. Evelyn didn't respond. Throwing her phone on her bed she sat down in a chair and stared out the window at the sky. It must have been an hour she was looking out the window thinking when her phone began to ring.

"Hello?"

"Damon is handled," Stefan stated.

A flood of relief entered her system, "Really? How?"

"I gave Caroline a drink with vervain, now he is in our family's basement. I would like you to come over tomorrow and make sure he's given enough to keep him weak but not kill him entirely,"

"Alright, I'll come before school,"

Evelyn kept her word the next day. She arrived at six in the morning, looking at the passed out Damon. She walked in the cell, despite Stefan's warnings, and opened his eye with a flashlight in her other hand. Damon was out like a candle. Evelyn followed Stefan to the room where his nephew had been growing it, measuring out a dose. Handing the vial to Stefan, she gave him a small smile.

"You almost killed him with the amount you put in Caroline. This is a little less than that so he will still be just as weak,"

Stefan thanked her and she left. Before school she went for a jog, then she worked out at home. It felt nice to work out again. For the next three days, she woke up at six, even when she would go to bed at two in the morning, and work out. Aunt Megan bought her heavy weights so she could do a regular routine. Evelyn attempted to make herself feel not so miserable. It worked for the most part. There was still that voice in the back of her head telling her the thing Aaron always said: weak.

She went to school, cheer practice, and avoided Bonnie and Caroline at all costs. Evelyn wasn't going to get sucked into the drama until it was necessary. Then Stefan came back to school. On that note, Evelyn wanted to stop coming to school. But, she couldn't just disappear. Taking a deep breath, she continued down the hall and made her way into the classroom early. The school day went on normally. Evelyn didn't pay attention in class, drew in her doodling notebook, and went to cheer practice after school. Around 3:50 she received a text from Elena, asking her to meet her at the grill.
