The Move

A/N:  Heyurrrr, so yeah I'm like new to writing fanfics so I'd really appreciate feedback. Also it'd mean a lot  if you got others to read too. So yeah, don't really have anything else to say so I'll just get on with it...

'Seren! Come on,we need to leave now!' my dad called to me from downstairs.

'Coming!', I yelled back. Jheez was he was soo impatient. I took one last look around my room, god did I hate living in England, but I was sure as hell gonna miss it twice as much as I hated it- even if I didn't want to admit it. I walked down the stairs and out of the front door to see my Dad stood tapping his foot on the ground. He swooped my suitcase up and put it in the boot of the taxi. Our things were being sent during the week, so the clothes I had would last me til then. I jumped in the back of the cab next to Rosie - my new step-mother (I still didn't know how I felt about that). My Dad locked the house up and got in the front with the driver, off to the airport I go.

I awkwardly got my phone out and pressed record. Yes, I know what you're thinking you're Keeking in front of everybody? Well to be honest I don't care, you know me YOLO. 

'Hey Stars! Today is the day. I'm moving to..can I bring myself to say it? Oh what the hell! I'm moving all the way to Australia. Yeah..so it was just a quick Keek to tell you all about the move, got to go as I'm just about to check in! eek! I'm excited...oh 3 seconds...shit, byee!', concluding with the peace sign, my Keek was over just like my time in England. I quickly slipped my iPhone back into my pocket and looked up to see Rosie staring at me questioningly. 

'Do I even want to know what that was about?' she asked.

'No, I don't think you do' I  chuckled back. She gave me a curious look, but eventually let it slide. 

I walked into Starbucks and ordered my usual - Ice Latte, I payed and walked out of the shop, only to find a boy with short blonde hair and green eyes stood awkwardly next to Dad and Rosie. It was my best friend Benedict. As I approached them, Dad and Rosie went to the duty free and left me and Ben. 

'Seren' he whispered, trying hard to conceal his emotions but failing.

'Ben, I'm so happy you came' I beamed.

'Ser, I couldn't not say goodbye to my best friend'

'I'm your only friend' I giggled. He punched my arm playfully, causing me to retaliate and smack him on his head and we both collapsed in a fit of giggles. After about five minutes of goodbyes with Ben my Dad gave me the look that told me it was time to board.

I walked up to passport control and handed over my passport, the lady smiled and handed it back.

'Have a good flight' she smiled all to fakely at me.

'Thanks I'll try' I mumbled, my thoughts elsewhere. The next time I would see Ben would be in 6 months, he kept me going, kept me on the straight and narrow, I can't go back to the way I was..I just can't. It wasn't an option.

'Seren, are you sure your okay with this?' I looked around to see my Dad looking at me with a concerned look on his face.

'Yes. Dad look I'll be fine, a fresh new start could be good for me' I lied, truth is I'm not ready.

' Look S, I know the last couple of months have been hard, especially on you and I just don't want to jeopardize-'

'Dad, like I've told you a gibillion times already. I'm fine, you worry too much.' I interrupted pulling him towards the terminal.

I took my seat on the plane, I was on my own next to two old ladies. My Dad and Rosie were at the back, so I was on my own which I really wasn't fussed about. It'd be good to have some alone time. I plugged in my earphones and ironically 'Skyscraper' by Demi Lovato came on. I could feel tears building up in my eyes, this song explains my life so much it's like it was actually meant for me. As we ascended into the air, I could feel my eyelids begin to close and I began to drift off into the world that I imagined my life to be like...
