Always hate me – James Blunt

Oh god it hurt the moment that I saw you

With someone else

The one that you belong to

I never thought

I’d drown in my shallow heart

The gang was back together again, once again it was back to being Mick, the Mcvies and Buckingham Nicks and they all could not have been happier, Stevie was looking at how John and Christine were with each other, it made her happy that there was no longer any bad blood in the band, this made her think of Lindsey, and in that spilt second just as she thought of him he walked through the door, holding onto his arm and entering also was his wife

Stevie could never describe the feeling in her stomach every time she saw him with her, and just like every time it completely killed her inside

“You shouldn’t be feeling like this, she is the one he belongs to, she is his wife for goodness sake after all not you” she thought to herself looking at them

Each and every time she looked at the pair she got lost and drowned in the emotions that came with it, she never thought after almost 50 years she would still hate to see her Lindsey with another woman...even if he was indeed married to the woman

I’d like to say the things I never used to

But come today they won’t ever be useful

I never learned to use my shallow heart

It took her back just looking at him, she wished right then in that second that she had stopped him marrying her all those years ago

“If only I had told you I loved you more often, it would be me now and not her” she once again thought to herself, she always regretted that she never used to tell him enough how she really felt about him, but it was too little too late to be regretting that stuff now, it wouldn’t help the situation, she just wished she learned to listen to her feelings sooner and follow what her heart told her

I, I, I, I never meant to hurt you

It’s just something I do

I guess it’s not a good excuse

‘It’s my fault he’s now married anyway’ Stevie thought to herself she was the one that told him to ‘go and marry the child’ she called him every name under the sun, and told him some pretty hurtful things, she didn’t mean any of them of course she was just so angry at him for wanting someone else!

Thinking back to herself she realised it was her that was most hurtful after every fight they had, she couldn’t help it

‘Maybe it’s just something I can’t help but do, maybe I have to hurt him to make myself hurt less’ she felt sad at this thought “Who am I kidding, you can’t use that as an excuse for being that hurtful and miserable to him” she didn’t realise but she was glaring at the pair in front of her, the only one that noticed was Lindsey

And she will always hate me

No matter what I say
