The opening night show was finished, but Stevie didn’t realise it would be so hard, not hard because of being on stage, hard because she had to stand next to the man she loved and know that he didn’t love her back, that had always been the hardest part she thought, she just didn’t know that what she was feeling right now was mirrored by how Lindsey was feeling too

She needed to get back to her room so she made her excuses and practically ran through the hotel corridors, she turned one that her door was down and came face to face...with Lindsey, his room was right next to hers

“Lindsey” Stevie could feel her heart beat rise rapidly, she didn’t know what It was about this man but no matter how long it had been, how they had parted, he was the only man that could jump start her heart

“Stevie” he said in a tone that she knew very well from before, he couldn’t still love her could he? Even though he was married to someone else

All she wanted to do was go into his arms, but she had to stand and be brave, she didn’t know what he thought of her as now, they hadn’t exactly parted on good terms when they finished the Lovefest tour last year

She knows she loves him still beyond a doubt, but she’s so afraid to tell him in case he no longer loves her, but as she is just looking at him standing there watching her she can’t help but think she see’s some of that love still there, earlier today at rehearsals she thought the love had gone, but now as she was really looking into his eyes she wasn’t so sure

“Stevie” he took a dangerous step toward her

Now she was looking at him closer, neither of them were saying a word, all either of them were thinking in their heads was how they had ever tried to believe that the love they felt for each other wouldn’t always be there

Lindsey was married now but Stevie was with no one, she just could never find anyone she wanted and the main reason she thought to herself was because they weren’t Lindsey, she couldn’t blame him for being married though, even though she regretted telling him to do it, he had waited for her for so many years and it had practically killed him every minute of it, she was just that tad too late in coming round

“Tell him you love him, tell him you always have even after all these years, and you will continue to do so for all eternity to come” she told herself, she just couldn’t bring herself to do it “You have absolutely no right to Stephanie Lynn” the other side of her mind told her
