Silence is what we hear from the room, nothing heard, nothing said, nothing daring to make a sound, not even the heals of my boots clicking against the hard floor, my eyes go to one pair only, Aslan's, his being rhe onoy ones I trusted right now, so, my eyes stay on his, his stay on mine, mine feeling gentle and caring ad I walked to my usual spot and sat, Jack moving the chair so I could sit like a gentleman, I smile shortly at him and sit down, my eyes not daring to meet Peter's, but everyone else's. My eyes go to Lucy, Edmund and Susan, their faces holding sad, yet happy, smiles, my eyes go to the guardians as they sit, their eyws uneasy and worried for me, I smile with assurance to them, their small smiles coming to their lips slowly "so, what do you guys have?" I ask, my eyes not meeting the ones I was talking to, but they knew exactly who I was talking to "well" Susan starts, my eyes flicker to hers, a small and unoticable smile coming to my lips. "We might think we gave something" Peter finishes, taking roll of the one to tell us the news "we might think the answer has been with us all along" he says distantly, I feel eyes go to me, my eyes lift up to find my accusations correct, everyone, but Peter, was staring at me "what?" I ask "she's the one who will defeat her" Susan states "I found a old book in the way back shelf of the library, it stated a prophecy that wasn't known, until now, who was destined to live it out, it told of a girl, more than a girl. She being more than what she was, showing more than what anyone would show, more than what anyone saw or heard, this girl being from a land far different from ours, yet showing anyone in this one like they were close family, it said this girl would be our ultimate happiness, but bring her own pain, bring our own freedom, but be her own prisoner" she tells us, making chills run through the air and down my spine, mt face pales so much it's visible. My eyes wide and my mouth open slightly, fear eminent in my eyes, I feel a familiar cold hand bring me back to reality, my eyes go to Jack's, mine filled with tears and fear, his showing determination and assurance mixed together in those blue hues in his orbs "that can't be Samantha" he objects, denying the inedible "it has to be, she's the only girl that has come here and be nice to us, she made us feel like family, she made us feel special, she made us feel loved by a stranger. It doesn't matter if we knew her for an eternity or just a second, she changed us, and the prophecy describes her to the letter" Susan states almost sharply to Jack's denial "it has to be her, she may not be strong enough now, but you can teach her to grow, Jack, and she will if she is the one in this prophecy" Susan adds, Jack grows silent, not wanting to speak his mind in front of everyone "then it is decided" Aslan says into the silence, making all of our attention go to him. "Jack, you will train Samantha just as you have trained her before, but make sure her attention is fully on training and nothing else, we can't have her distracted" Aslan states, Jack nods slightly, his eyes not meeting Aslan's, he stands and walks out of the room, all of us following in suit in silence "and Samantha" Aslan's voice calls, making my head turn to him to meet his eyes "yes?" I ask "good luck, for the sake of your world and ours" he answers, his kind lion eyes meeting mine, I nod and let determination fill me. We leave, silence bwing the only thing that filled our walk to our room, the atmosphere changing from determined to deflated, almost like the world knew I wasn't ready, knowing this wouldn't end well, ending with someone getting hurt, more importantly my family and those few I wished to call friends and family, me and Jack walk into the room we shared, our eyes not truly meeting and silence still lingering like the few I had for what was going to happen to my family. "Jack" I call him, he doesn't speak, his eyes don't even meet mine, not even acknowledging my presents "please, say something" I beg silently "there's nothing to say, Samantha" he says emotionlessly "just say something-" I get cut off by him "like what, Samantha? What? Do you want me to tell you that everything will be ok? Tell you lies and give you false hope? Because I can't do that! I don't even know if everything is ok anymore! Peter hates us! Aslan wants me to train you with only a few days!. There's a girl you hardly know that wants to kill you, make you or the ones I care suffer! I can't seem to leave your side without worrying! We have no chance of winning! You have no chance!" He snaps, raising his voice to a slight yell, my eyes brim with tears, he sees this and sighs "you can't tell me that it's going to be ok, because I know it isn't, but isn't that how we got together, with pain and sorrow, we over came that, together, we grew together. We became a team, you don't gave to hide the truth because I know it, I know it's dangerous, risky and scary, but that's why I love this life I have with you, we go beyond what the world throws at us and risk oyr own lives to save those we love or care about" I say, my voice rising, but not in anger, in determination and truth "you don't have to hide anything from me, just tell me what you're thinking and I'll do my part, just don't hold everything inside anymore" I tell him.
