The Journey

Chapter 3

Virgil opened his eyes to find himself back at Thomas's house, Why was he here? Was yesterday all a Dream?... he thought about it until he heard somebody pop up beside him "Why Hello, Dark and Gloomy" he heard a very Regal voice call out, Virgil turned around to see Roman looking at him with a grin "hey Princey" he replied, trying to hold back a relieved smile but couldn't resist letting out a sigh, Roman stared at him with a raised eyebrow "happy to see me?" He laughed, Virgil blushed and looked away "n-no! I'm not.." he lied quickly, why was he so worried about him.. it's just Roman.. "oh really? Why are you blushing then?" He smirked while walking beside him, Virgil Glared and tried to look at him "I'm not blushing!" He hissed, he soon realized how close he actually was to Roman and tried to back away but he hit his back on the wall "well.. if your not blushing... why is your face red?" Roman said calmly while locking eyes with Virgil "it's not r-red!" He tried to look away but Roman put his hand on Virgil's cheek and smiled "if you're not blushing.... I know a way to make you blush.." he said before leaning in slowly, Virgil's eyes widened before he felt his heart beating faster and faster, what is happening? he couldn't be doing this, what is Roman thinking? why am I letting this happen? they were just Inches apart when Virgil woke up by the sound of shuffling outside of his tent, 

breathing heavily and feeling his heart racing he sat up and stared at the ground "oh god.. what just happened.." he muttered to himself while getting up and leaving the tent, he looked up and saw Emile and Remigus had already packed up their tent "good morning!" Emile Called cheerfully while Remigus put their arm in place, Virgil waved tiredly and packed up his tent, it took a few moments to clean everything up, but as soon as they finished, they were back on the road, 

Virgil hung back behind Emile and Remigus a bit, thinking about his dream last night, why did he dream about him kissing Roman, he didn't like him... did he?.. Virgil was thinking about it so much he hadn't noticed Remigus slow down to walk beside him "what are you thinking about?" He asked with a raised eyebrow, Virgil looked up with a slightly startled expression "what? Uh.. nothing" he said quickly but Remigus didn't buy it "come on, you can talk to me, you might as well, we'll be walking for awhile" he said with a small smile, Virgil sighed and looked at his hands "last night... I had a dream about Roman" he started, 

did he was to confess how he dreamt about him almost kissing Him?.. How would he react.. "oh? You seem pretty worried about him, what kind of friend is he?" He asked with a smirk, Virgil looked at him "not like that! I.. I don't like him like that.. He, he's just a friend.." Remigus raised a knowing eyebrow "if you say so.." he paused shortly to think "what exactly happened in your dream?" He asked softly "well.. it seemed just like a normal day back home, Roman came up to me and we talked for a bit... until.." he thought about it again, how it felt to feel Roman so close to him, how his heart raced and how hot his face felt, it was nice to be with him, even though it was a dream, it felt so.. Real.. he felt.. "until what?" Remigus cut off his thoughts as he looked at Virgil "oh right.. um.. well. He kinda.. Started to-" He got cut off again my Emile calling out from ahead "Is this what we're looking for?" 

Virgil walked up beside Emile with Remigus, he was confused at first until he noticed a Castle in the distance, from what he had heard from Roman, He had a huge Castle he liked to visit when he went on his adventures "I think so.." he said softly, he looked closer at the castle and noticed that it wasn't just the silhouette, the castle was completely black with barely noticeable green and yellow banners, Virgil didn't remember hearing anything about Romans castle being Black "well, if it is what we need to find, here it is..." Emile chimed in after a few moments of silence, Virgil nodded and started to move forward with the. "Okay, let's go" they walked through the big open field until they noticed the Castle finally becoming closer, 

Virgil really hoped this is where Roman is, otherwise, he wouldn't know what he would do if he put Emile or Remigus in danger.. he walked more and entered through the door in the wall surrounding the castle, Virgil looked around and saw that, it wasn't just a castle, it's a town, but.. "where is everybody?" Remigus asked cautiously, Virgil walked to the nearest house and knocked on the door "stay away" he heard a shaky voice reply, Emile walked up behind him "sorry to bother you but... may we come in?" He asked kindly, After a few moments of waiting awkwardly they finally heard a voice reply "are you working for the King?.." the voice asked, Virgil glances at Emile "no, we're not" he replied finally, they waited for a few seconds before they heard the doorknob turn and the door squeaked open, 

A small man, closely resembling Patton stood there and let them in, Virgil walked through the door and turned around to face the man with Emile and Remigus "Who are you?" The man asked with a scared expression, Virgil looked at him and gestures to Emile and Remigus "these are my associates, Emile and Remigus, and my name is.. Virgil" he Told him with a small pause before he spoke his name, The man looked at him in shock "Virgil? Like, the Princes Fiancé Virgil?" Virgil's eyes widened "W-What?" He said a bit louder than he had hoped, The man looked at him in confusion "Are you not him?..." Virgil thought about it before looking at The man again "Who is the prince?" He asked "prince Roman" the man said softly, 

Virgil stared at him in shock before moving to the door and standing outside to think "What happened? Why did Roman create this world? Does Roman.. No, he doesn't.. He wouldn't do that, would he? No.. but what if he did? What if-" Virgil heard the door open and close and he looked up to see Emile walk up beside him "Remigus is asking Questions inside... do you need to talk?" They asked calmly, Virgil sighed and ran his fingers through his hair "it's just... where Roman and I come from, we don't live in this world, Roman Created this world to adventure in and let loose, he would always leave all the sudden sometimes when I talked to him., but now.. after hearing that... it made me wonder, did he create a clone of me? Does he love me? Does he care about me? Did he-" Emile places a hand on Virgil's shoulder "hey, it's okay, you don't know for sure, there might not be a clone of you" they said calmly with a smile "but what if there is? He could easily make a clone of anyone, he could-" 

Virgil was cut off again by Remigus opening the door "get inside" he said before disappearing back into the house, Emile and Virgil looked at each other for a moment, they got up and went into the house "okay, tell them" Remigus said, The man looked at Virgil "Before we had a king, this Town was Ruled by Prince Roman, the town loved him and we were once a bright and colourful town, until somebody showed up and claimed himself as Prince Roman's brother, Roman tried to fight him off but He wouldn't leave, he ended up throwing Prince Roman in the dungeon and Made himself king" the man explained before looking into Virgil's eye "and he told everybody, somebody by the name of Virgil will come try to save him, and he will be Romans Husband once he has come" the man finished softly, Virgil looked at him with shock, Remigus tried to continue talking but Virgil cut him off "Who's the King?" He asked sharply, the man looked at the ground "Remus Royale" he said suddenly, Virgil Glared and stared at the wall "I should've known he was behind this" Emile glances at Remigus "Virgil.. maybe we should go bac-" 

Emile was cut off when they heard a banging on the door "Open up, King Remus demands it" Virgil held out his hand when The man tried to open the door "I'll handle it, you three, hide" he told them, They quickly hid before Virgil opened the door and Glared darkly when he saw who was standing in front of him
