Everyday for the past three months Daniel had been seeing a man's face repeatedly in his nightmares. The same combination of features interrupting soft yet bold music every single time. Pale snow skin, bright blue eyes, and raven black hair flashes in his head. Yet again, he ponders about the beginning of it all.
It started way back when he got to the train he regularly uses in the last week of January three months ago. It was another cloudy day when his alarm went off next to his bed like regularly, but the only difference was that Daniel arrived to work two hours late. Dan has only been late for work at fifteen minutes late at most, surprisingly. His friends and family have no idea how he manages to be on time, especially since when he was in high school he mostly arrived extremely late to classes.
That day when the nightmares started was unfortunately an awful memorable day. It'd been an embarrassing day and a bit painful too. Some freaky unexplained things happened, but he'd rather not focus on it too much. If does, then he may just lose his mind.
Dan, habitually stops by the coffee shop for before work and then follows with heading to the train station. It was a very ordinary day. It followed it usual routine.
After getting his coffee he seated next to an old lady in the train. The old lady looked at him with a piercing expression. She seemed ticked off. Her eyes squinted, mouth set in a firm frown. She was short, extremely short. She looked like a stereotypical type of an old lady, pale, wrinkly, in a sweater, poofy gray hair, a cane, just a granny knitting in a rocking chair.
The only weird thing about her was the fact she stared at him through the whole entire ride. Her gaze seemed to get more judging through the tunnels. It reached a point where he had to say something to this crazy lady.
He gathered some courage in himself before speaking. Sitting up taller in his seat he stared at her back," Can you stop staring, please." The old lady scoffed at him, then snapped her head to glare at the other guy next to her.
He was still feeling odd because of the old woman, but he eased up. He took a sip of his coffee, staring at the lights flashing on the dark tunnel walls. Somehow during this time he got pulled into a sleep.
It was so strange how he got caught up in a snooze while in the train, now that he looks back on it. The day before he had plenty of rest, heck he went as far as straight to bed early. He'd flopped down into his blankets and ended up going to bed by seven pm, which really is early to fall asleep.
It was like he was put into spell that dropped him in an unwanted deep slumber. He heard a tune filled with despair. A young woman in her early twenties with dark brown hair playing a beautiful piece on a piano. Her fingers moved gracefully and skillfully as she swayed slightly with the notes she played out loud.
The music echoed across the room walls. He carefully took a step forward towards the lady. A flash of a man's face covered the woman and a piano. The man had pale skin and blue eyes. His hair was a dyed black. His hair was styled in a quiff. He looked attractive, but his face seemed to scream evil, even though his face held a grin. Something about him was off puttingBefore he jumped up from his sleep he saw those blue eyes, they were capturing. Nearing the end of the dream the man whispered, " I know you Dan."
Dan jerked up, his breathing was heavy as he opened his eyes. His eyes widen when he smells coffee and feels a cool liquid that must've poured onto his lap whilst he lie unaware. Looking down, he sighted what he wished not to see. There on his black jeans a darker spot on his thighs and crotch lined with a darker color. His pants were soaked with his morning coffee. Along with this it he also noticed his hands were also covered with coffee. He's pissed, but soon is aware of worse.
