"Mum there's got to be something you can do"

"Mar, I've already told you there isn't."

I sighed and threw myself down on the bed. This whole situation was fucked. "Mum, you know it wasn't my fault. I can't afford to get kicked out of here. Could you please just call them and try to fix this?"

I had only been moved into my dorm at Uni for a week. My stupid roomate had decided it would be a good idea to smoke weed in the middle of the day. We'd both been told we could no longer stay in the dorms, but I had nowhere to go. I had until the end of the day to get out.

"I already called them. There's nothing I can do. You're just lucky you didn't get expelled."

"I don't know where to go."

My mother sighed. I couldn't see her but I knew she was pinching the bridge of her nose in exasperation. "Mar, I have already told you that your brother is going to let you move in with him for the time being."

I knew I was being overdramatic but I flung myself onto the bed and squealed into a pillow.

"Are you quite done?"

I rolled my eyes, "Mom I don't want to move in with Will. That whole lot are wankers."

"You know what Mary? It's either move in with your brother or live on the streets of London. If you're gonna be this arguable, I don't care which one you do. At least respond to your brother for God's sake."

I sighed and slid onto the floor, continuing my 5-year-old bitch fit.

"Mary Delilah Lenney, did you hear what I said?"

"Yes, Mum," I said on the verge of tears. I was overwhelmed by this whole situation.

"I love you very much sweet girl, but I need you to be an adult about this whole thing," she said. My mum always knew exactly what to say to make me feel a bit better.

"I'll call Will," I yielded.

"Thank you dear. I've got to go now, but I'll call you later this afternoon after everything's died down. Alright?"

"Sure mum," I said. "I love you."

"I love you too."

The phone clicked, reminding me I was alone. I didn't want to call Will. I didn't want to move in with him.

Don't get me wrong, I loved Will dearly but ever since he'd moved away and blown up on YouTube I tried to keep my distance.

He was so career driven it was insane. He put his entire life into his channels. I didn't want to interfere with that or be involved. Even though it was a bit late for that, seeing as how half of his fan base had followed me after posting a picture with me on a trip back home. I didn't mind the extra attention but the whole lot could be a bit rowdy sometimes. I didn't know if I could handle stepping into that world full time.

Not to mention his roommate George was a fucking bellend. He was half-famous on YouTube and was constantly picking on children and shutting down his loyal fan base. I hated when people didn't respect the people that got them where they were.

I got off the floor, finally finished acting like a child. I rummaged through my closet trying to pull everything off the hangers. Mum was right. I was lucky I didn't get kicked out of uni and sent back to Newcastle. This situation was still a lot on me. I had finally gotten free of my family and was starting to be an independent adult. Then it was just ripped from me.

My phone ringing pulled me out of my thoughts and I realized I had been rubbing the fabric of one of my shirts together for quite a while. I threw the shirt on the ground and picked the phone up.

"Yeah?" was all I could get out.

"Alright so, mum told me about the whole situation and I'm on me way to get you. Have your shite packed. I'm bringing a surprise with me," Will's voice rang through the phone.

"Will, I can't move in with you," I sighed.

"Like hell you can't. Mar, you need my help and what kind of brother would I be if I just left you alone during all this."

"It's not like I'll be homeless. I could stay in a hotel for a few days until I get this all figured out. I'm an adult now Will. I can deal with things like an adult."

Will scoffed. "Again I say, like hell." He made sure to punctuate every word. "I'll be there in 20, right?"

I rolled my eyes. "I don't even have boxes."

"What about the boxes from when you moved in?"

If Will thought I was really that dumb, then he must've thought I was still the little kid I had been the last time he saw me. I'd grown a lot in the last year, not that he'd been around to see. "Oh fuck ya right Will. Let me just pull them out from under the bed. I'll be packed in about 10 minutes. God Will you're so smart."

"See that's that then. I'll be there soon."

For fucks sake. "Will. Sarcasm. I have no boxes. I got rid of them when I moved out. I was hoping I wouldn't have to move all my shite out again until the end of the year."

"Right. Well it looks like we're making a detour mate. Gotta get Mar some boxes." He wasn't talking to me but I wasn't sure who he was talking to. Whoever it was he wasn't responding. Don't be George. "Alright so it looks like it'll be probably I don't know. Let's say 30 minutes."

"Yeah okay."

I pulled the phone away from my head and hung up. I looked at the mess that was the half empty dorm room. My stuff was scattered all about, and I honestly didn't feel like packing any of it. No point in putting it off Mar. The best thing to do was to just play some music and fold my clothes onto the bed.

I started my playlist and heard "Bottom of the 9th" by Jackie Onassis start playing. I smiled a bit as I started to fold my clothes and set them into stacks on top of the bed.

It took a good 20 minutes to get everything together. When all my things were set into neat stacks on my bed I sat on my floor and checked my notifications.

Willne tagged you in a story.

I rolled my eyes. More attention. More fangirls on my tail trying to get to my brother. More hate comments. The onslaught was soon to ensue.

I unlocked my phone to watch the story.

It was a video of Will looking through shelves of plastic bins. "What fucking sized bin do you get for a teenage girl?"

A familiar voice responds off camera. "How much could a college girl bring from Newcastle to uni?"

"You'd be surprised mate? Like I said, it's a teenage girl. Who knows what goes on in their brains."

I rolled my eyes as the video continues.

"Stephen grab that one up there and let's get going," Will says, pointing to the mid sized bin.

The caption in the corner says @MARionette is moving in. Stay tuned for sibling shenanigans.

I didn't focus on the caption though. Just the name. Stephen.
