When she was 7 all she wanted to was to grow up,
Wearing her mom's heels while looking in the mirror,
With life in her eyes that could light up the world.
When she was 8 she wanted to be a fashion designer,
Using random clothes on her body in front of the mirror,
With hope in her heart, she looks beautiful.
When she was 9 started to grow up,
Seeing curves on her body,
Loving it when she looks in the mirror.
When she was 10 she became a lady,
Freaking out seeing red of the 1st time,
But excitement was in her eyes when she looks into the mirror.
When she was 11 she was taller than most girls and guys,
Finally, she fit in her mom's shoes,
Smiling in front if mirror.
When she was 12 her curves were growing,
She felt sexy and confident,
Seeing herself in the mirror.
When she was 13 eyes were becoming her personal CCTV,
People's words will be all over her mirror,
Words that are tattooed on her mirror.
When she was 14 guys became attracted,
Making her mirror have prints that will never go away,
Fingerprints that can never be rub off.
When she was 15 friends became foe,
Breaking her mirror into pieces,
Leaving her alone,
Slowly building her imperfect mirror back to life.
When she was 16 she fallen in love,
He left her in the dark without warning
Steeling something from her mirror.
When she was 17 anxiety became her best friend,
The voice that is loud when she looks in the mirror,
Music was her voice,
Sleep was her drug to run away.
If she gets to 18,
She hopes to be the girl,
That had all the stars in her eyes,
Have a positive voice in her head,
To be a person that she is proud of,
Be able to look into the mirror,
And say "I love myself"
