"C'mon Jac!" Edward said to his daughter, "You have dance today!"
"I know... I just miss Davis" Jacquie said
"I miss her too..." Edward said, "But c'mon if you want to win Internationals, you're gonna have to practise sweetie!"
"I know..." Jacquie said, yawning, "Romelia kept me up all night..."
"I think she kept the whole neighbourhood awake!" Edward said, chuckling
"For such a small maybe she sure can scream!" Jacquie said, smiling at the baby in the crib next to her bed
"You were exactly the same!" Edward said, "Davis just sobbed quietly, Zach was the crier and you were the loudest! Always screaming, always crying! God, I don't miss the tantrums!" He added, leaving Jacquie's bedroom
"Haha!" Jacquie said sarcastically, getting out of bed, feeding Romie and changing into some black dance leggings and a grey tank top
In Studio A:
"Alright today, we have over 50 people auditioning to replace Davis and Summer's spots on A-Troupe! Remember all your places are safe - we are not replacing any of you guys" Emily announced
"Me, Emily and Noah are going to decide! But we'll need help teaching the choreography so we have chosen two dancers to help!" Michelle said
"Who did you pick?" Richelle asked excitedly
"Yeah, who?" Piper said
"The dancers we have picked are... Richelle and Jacquie!" Noah said, and A-Troupe clapped
"Yay!" Richelle said, hugging Jacquie
"Thanks Emily, Michelle! We won't let you down." Jacquie said
"You girls deserve it!" Michelle said
"Ok, so it will be a contemporary/hip-hop piece! Just so we know they can pick up choreography quickly!" Noah said, teaching them the 3 minute piece
"You guys good? You got it?!" Noah asked
"Yes!!" Jacquie and Richelle shouted, smiling
The 50 dancers walked into Studio A:
"RIGHT! HELLO EVERYONE MY NAME IS EMILY AND THIS IS MICHELLE! We are the Co-Studio Heads of The Next Step Dance Studio, I want too see you perform at a International level, ok? Noah here is our main Choreographer! This is Jacquie and Richelle, two of our best dancers - they are going to be teaching you todays routine!" Emily said into the microphone
"Right! I'm Michelle - I remember when I was auditioning for A-Troupe, it was very nerve-wracking, so just give it your best shot!" Michelle said, smiling
"Hi! I'm Noah, how today's audition is gonna work is you'll be put into a group of ten and you'll learn a 3 minute choreographed piece my me. As soon as the piece is finished then I want you all to freestyle until we call the next group! We want to see you!" Noah said, passing the microphone over to Jacquie and Richelle
"Good luck everyone!" Jacquie and Richelle said, grinning at everyone in the room
"Lets begin!" Jacquie said
"Ok! Group One: Lisa, Megan, Sofia, Georgia, Max, Johnny, Alex, Lennon and Harry!" Richelle said, as her and Jacquie began teaching the groups their choreography
2 Hours Later:
Jacquie and Richelle finish showing everyone the choreography and end up going to the Juice Bar for a well deserved break.
"Thank you all for coming! We really appreciate it - if you didn't get in today, just remember, you were good enough to be on the troupe but it was all based on your performance today!" Emily said
"The two dancers we are welcoming to A-Troupe is.... SOFIA AND JACK!" Michelle said, clapping
"Sofia and Jack please come to the front of the room!" Emily said, "Everyone else, remember, there is always next year! Keep on dancing!"
Sofia and Jack make their way to the front of the room.
"So Sofia, when did you start dancing?" A-Troupe asked
"Since I was 2, I'm trained in all styles of dance and my friends always told be I'm really good at listening and being compassionate so If you ever need someone to talk to, feel free to talk to me!" Sofia said, with a really convincing fake smile
"I'm glad you're on the troupe!" Piper said to the tall redhaired girl "I can tell me and you will get a long great!"
"Ok, everyone I know you already know Jack..." Emily said, "But... he has done his 300 hours of community service and has completed his anger management tests... so he is back on A-Troupe..." Emily said
"That is so unfair to Jacquie!" Piper said
" EVEN AFTER WHAT HE DID TO JACQUIE?" Henry shouted, running over to him and punching Jack hard.
"HENRY STOP!" Noah said, pulling him back
"Listen Henry, his parole officer set him up with a counsellor and anger management classes and he's been doing really well! He wouldn't be here if he was doing badly!" Michelle said
"Look, Jack's had a very tough home life... bad things happened to him so he likes to be very controlling to block out the past events... and feel like he's in control" Emily said
"Don't we know it. He's quite skilled with his fists and pressuring people into doing things they don't want to do!" Henry said, throwing daggers at Jack with his eyes
"That's all in the past now! The last 6 months are in the past!" Michelle said, "Don't worry, we'll be keeping our eye on him! Don't you believe in a second chance?"
"Yes I do, but I hurts when somebody hurts somebody you love!" Henry said, "You better keep your eye him."
"I get that but holding grudges isn't good!" Michelle said
"I don't think Jacquie will be happy with it though!" Henry said
"I won't be happy with what?" Jacquie said, walking in with Richelle
"Hi Jacquie..." Jack said
"WHAT THE HELL IS HE DOING HERE! HE HURT ME! HE MADE ME FEEL WORTHLESS!" Jacquie shouted, crying
"Jacquie, Jacquie, calm down! Jack's parole officer believes that it would be a good idea to let him dance in a safe, warm, fun environment! If he still was a threat to you he wouldn't be here!" Emily said, "Just give him a chance... please!"
"Fine...but just remember... I'll forgive but, I'll never forget...!" Jacquie said, staring hard at Jack
