The Morning After

He lay in bed with his eyes closed, pretending to have fallen asleep, when she came out of the bathroom. He knew she'd be in those black and white striped silk PJs. She'd gotten all-black for him. He wondered about the color reference.

He couldn't quite conceal how his body started to react when he felt her crawl beside him. He rolled to his stomach before it gave him away.

"So, what are we getting for breakfast?" she mumbled with her chin in her hand.

"You know what I want for breakfast," he grumbled into the sheets bunched in his arm.

A flurry of white downy feathers rose in the air as the pillow hit his backside.

"Im hungry, Wang He Di!"

He smirked and rolled over, pulling her on top of him with an arm around her waist.

"Of course you are, Wang Yue." He placed a hand on her nape and pulled her lower, nuzzling her ear.

"If I remember it right, you did half the work last night. And again, this morning," he murmured.

She pulled away sharply, and he grinned wider at the rising color on her smooth cheeks. Only to yelp in pain when she dug her elbows into his ribs.

"You! No gentleman would bring up anything like that!" she huffed and sat up.

When he only laughed aloud, she grabbed another limp pillow and smacked it on his arrogant face.

He grabbed the limp pillow and tossed it towards its sorry comrades. All four had been plump the night before. Now they looked emaciated, more than half of their contents strewn all over the bed, the floor and some still sticking in her hair.

He was looking forward to seeing her reaction when she would realize that housekeeping would have to clean up and know what they'd been up to.

"Oh trust me, Yue. No gentleman would make you scream like that eith-"

He landed on the floor with a thud. The vixen had shoved him!

"I did not scream!"

"Hmm, no? Must have been whoever it was who made the welts on my back and thighs then. Funny, I couldn't remember seeing anyone else that time."

It took all of his acting skills to keep himself from laughing. Her drowsy eyes had widened in alarm when she saw her own handiwork on his skin.

The marks had been why she'd insisted they wear the pajamas she'd ordered all the way from London. She'd shown them to him excitedly when they'd arrived just in time for her to pack for the honeymoon. He'd looked at them dubiously, wondering when exactly she intended to wear them. He sure as hell didn't.

He heard the bed squeak and her muffled voice. "You're hopeless."

"You love me." She was quiet and he waited, looking up at the ceiling from the floor.

Finally, she peeked from the edge of the bed.

"You love me, too." They smiled at each other.

She propped her chin on the back of one hand. "But if breakfast isn't here soon, you might change your mind."

He sat up abruptly and kissed her hard.

"Never."

She watched him as he spoke on the phone, looking intently on the menu book and glancing back at her. She barely heard what he was ordering.

Too bad her stomach was messing with her brains right now. He really did look good enough to eat. Memories from the night before raced in her mind and she felt her face burn again. He was good enough to eat, actually.

She fell back when a pillow hit her right on the face.

"I can see what you're thinking, Baobei," he chuckled.

She shoved the pillow away only to find him above her on all fours.

"No!"

"Mmm. No what?" His eyes held hers as he slowly bent down and pressed soft kisses on her face.

"I wasn't thinking about anything." His mouth was dipping lower, grazing her neck and sending shivers crawling on her skin.

"Good." He started sucking on her lobe. She gasped as he dipped his tongue into the curves in her ear, his breath blowing on wet skin.

"'Cause I'd rather we start doing them." She jerked when she felt his hand already inside her unbuttoned silk top. When did he manage that?

"Hmm, I didn't think I'd like these pajamas this much."

She had to admit. She had liked them. But not as much as she did now.

He drew back when he felt her hands slide up his chest and undo his buttons.

She focused on every inch of skin revealed as each button was released. He watched her intently. "Yes, I like these very much."

Her eyes snapped back up to his, startled. "Like what?"

He grinned wickedly. He would definitely order more of these.

Neither of them heard the knock on the door half an hour later.

The hotel staff raised his hand to knock again, before he remembered who the guests were supposed to be. With a smile, he took a spare door hanger from a shelf in the cart, and hung the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the doorknob. They always had one in handy because some guests, for some reason, forgot to use the ones in their rooms.

He snapped the lock on the cart's wheel to keep it from rolling away.
