Part 7

"Ye Debu da ne fresh towels kahan rakh diya?" Anurag spoke to himself in irritation as he walked out of the shower and into his room. He was gonna give a shout-out to him when he saw Prerna walking towards him. He looked twice to verify if she indeed looked dazed or was he imagining it.

Prerna couldn't seem to take her eyes off him. With a white towel clad around his waist and water dripping he looked delectable. She followed the droplet which dripped from his hair to his shoulder taking its time to choose the route and trickle down caressing his chest and his sculpted abs into forbidden territories! Prerna licked her lips unconsciously as her mouth suddenly felt the need for water.

"Checking me out, huh?" Anurag bent over her ear and asked huskily.

His proximity was clouding her senses. He had to repeat himself before he got her attention but he was not complaining, in fact he was smiling seductively.

"What?! No.. uh.. I mean.. what nonsense! Aisa.. uh.. kuch nahi h." She braved eyeing another droplet.

"Really?" He chuckled and inched closer holding her waist.

He was enjoying watching her fight the urge to kiss him crazy. He ran his thumb over her plump lips. Prerna's resistance seemed to have weakened as she parted her lips. Taking cue, he cupped her face.

The world seems to stop spinning for Prerna. She closed her eyes to take in the feeling of his love. The floor seemed to shake under her. But why was she the only one shaking? She brushed off the feeling. When the shaking began interfering in her kiss that is when she got a little annoyed. She wanted to open her eyes and tell Anurag to kiss properly without shaking!

With an effort she opened her eyes and found herself on the bed. She frantically looked around for Anurag. But all she found was Kuki tugging at her holding a teddy bear. It took her a few seconds to adjust her eyes to the light and stabilize her erratic heartbeat.

"Kuki? Tum yahan kya kar rahi ho?" She hugged her looking at the bedside table and was horrified to see the clock strike 8 AM.

"What! Itna late ho gaya! I am sorry Kuki, main jaldi se taiyar hoke aati hun tum neeche jao." Kuki went out smiling.

Prerna tucked in her messy hair still sitting on the bed and breathing heavily. It had felt so real, she could still breath in his scent. She could still feel his touch on her lips. She closed her eyes to linger on the feeling a little more.

She lazily pulled a pillow lying on the bed and hugged it smiling coyly to herself. Had Anurag got to know about such dreams of her's he wouldn't have left a single chance of teasing her. But now it was all different she sighed and got up. However, the glow on her face gave away her daydreaming about him.

She got ready in a while and went down to find everyone already at the breakfast table. Though a part of her was glad that she didn't have to face Anurag this morning as he didn't seem to be at home but her eyes kept searching him involuntarily.

The person of her thoughts had come to hospital for Moloy's checkup along with Tapur. He waited till the doctor examined his dad and carefully listed to the change in medicine dosages. He was waiting at the chemist to buy medicines as he thought about the information Rahil had given him about Kuki.

Luckily, one of his employee's kids studied with Kuki which made it easy for them to learn about her. The employee's wife was a regular visitor at the school and knew the teachers well which made it easy for her to casually enquire about Kuki and her health. She was told that Mr. Bajaj paid a hefty amount to take extra care of Kuki as she regularly got panic attacks. He got the medicines and came to where his dad and Tapur were waiting.

"Jaan tum dad ko ghar le jaogi mujhe yahin se office jana hoga.. tum kar logi na?" He asked dubiously.

"Of course bhai, you have a great day." With that Tapur wheeled Moloy to their car.

Anurag stood there thinking for a minute as if deciding on something. After he had made up his mind, he knocked on Moloy's doctor's door.

"Haan Anurag, kuch puchna bhul gaye the?" The doctor asked pleasantly.

"Nahi.. vo.. actually.." he hesitated and then continued. "Doctor mujhe aapse ek favour chahiye tha. Baba ke bare me nahi h."

"Sure Anurag go ahead. First please have a seat."

"Doctor, you have been with us for long.. aapko hamari family ke bare me kaafi kuch pata h.. Baba ka planned accident, Komolika se meri shaadi, Perna and me.. everything." The doctor nodded sympathetically.

"Aur abhi bhi aapko pata hi hoga ki main aur Prerna sath me nahi h.. uski shaadi.. I mean zabardasti shaadi Rishabh Bajaj se ho gayi h. I have not disclosed any of the details about Prerna's reason behind this marriage even to my family. But I thought I can trust you with it.. Baba ke accident ka raaz kholne me bhi aapne meri madat ki thi."

Anurag disclosed the necessary details to the doctor and asked him to help with finding out Kuki's medical condition and the reason behind her panic attacks. He told about Kuki's doctor.

"Main unko personally toh nahi janta Anurag but yes I can use my contacts to find out.. you don't worry I will be glad to help you out as much as I can." The doctor assured him.

"Thank you so much doctor." Anurag felt grateful.

After stressing on this discussion and the mission to be discreet he left the hospital.

He was now positive that he will be able to crack this mystery and find a way out to get Prerna back. He knew how difficult every minute was for Prerna, he was himself going through the painful distance. He was determined to solve the jigsaw that his life has become.

I hope you guys liked this part as well, though it is a short one and the story hasn't progressed much I really wanted to portray a scene where Prerna is missing and attracted to Anurag :)
