WHERE WERE YOU?

No divorce is ever planned, Taehyung learned that the hard way.

It was another late night, already past ten pm. Taehyung was all alone at home with his adorable four year old son, Junsu, who was still refusing to go to sleep without getting a goodnight kiss from his father, Jeongguk. The alpha was still nowhere to be seen despite finishing work two hours ago.

His work hours are from eight in the morning to seven at night, Taehyung was sure of that. It was already ten in the evening. Worried, Taehyung had called him numerous times to know about his whereabouts but he got no response, every call went straight to voicemail.

Taehyung tried calling again at the request of his son, 15th time is a charm but no response. He waited before hearing The person who is calling is not available, to leave a voice- Taehyung hung up. Sighing he went back to Junsu who looked at him with his big hopeful doe eyes that he got from his father on the couch. "What did daddy say." Junsu asked him curiously.

"He wants you to go to bed." Taehyung lies with a pulled smile to little boy, placing his phone of the couch.

A frown appeared on his lips, "But I want a kiss from daddy." Junsu whined, eyes soon filling with tears. "He promised to give me a kiss goodnight...daddy's a liar." he sniffled as he held onto his the  stuffed bunny that Jeongguk had won for him at Everland the last time they went a few months ago.

Taehyung's heart clenched at the site of his baby's tears, no mother wants to see their child crying. "Daddy isn't a liar." yes, he is. "I'm sure he will give you a big kiss once he comes back, your father is a busy man...he's probably stuck at work working." he reasoned with the toddler, partially himself too. Crouching down to wipe away his tears, he said "If you go to sleep now, tomorrow I promise that I'll make you a special breakfast with anything that you want." Taehyung offered with a smile, bribing isn't something he liked to do with Junsu but sometimes he had no choice.

Junsu sad face soon brightened up, "Okay." he nods.

"Let's get you to bed then." he picked Junsu up with ease and heads towards his room.

For a four-year-old his room was pretty big. To be honest their house was pretty big for only three people but Jeongguk said that their family would expand anyways.

Junsu's room had blue walls with white fluffy looking clouds, the same design Jeongguk had painted when they converted from an office to a nursery. It had different toys scattered around which reminded Taehyung that he'll need to start teaching Junsu to clean up his stuff after playing but maybe another day. Gently Taehyung laid him down in his red race car themed bed, tucking the little boy nice and tight so he was comfortable. "Good night Junsu." he kissed his forehead, moving his unkept bangs out of his face.

"Goodnight, mummy." he kissed Taehyung's cheek.

It only took a few seconds before Junsu fell asleep completely, Taehyung could tell that he was only trying to stay awake for Jeongguk and pretending that he wasn't falling asleep so that Taehyung wouldn't take him to bed. This is the third night in a row that Junsu tried staying up for Jeongguk. It was becoming a problem because he isn't getting the sleep that he needed. Junsu was a stubborn toddler, kinda of like him when he was younger and wouldn't go to bed when Taehyung would tell him to, and eventually ends up falling asleep on the couch just for his father.

Taehyung pitted his son.

Slowly, he left the room making sure to not make any noise because Junsu is a light sleeper, unfortunately, and made his way back to the living room. Grabbing his phone that he left on the couch and dialling - this time, not Jeongguk's number but instead the alpha's colleague and best friend, Hoseok, who worked in the same law department as Jeongguk did at their firm. He was someone who Taehyung consider a close friend along with his husband, Seokjin, who often made cookies and sweets for Junsu.
