Chapter 2

The next morning was a Monday back to school for Danielle and Ruby. As soon as Danielle woke up she groaned. She hated going to school and she didn't want to get up, but she knew any second now her mum would be calling her down for breakfast. Before she got out of bed she texted Ruby to see if they were still meeting up at the same time and place. Ruby responded immediately with a "Yes". Danielle got out of bed and as soon as she stood up her head started hurting and she was still feeling sleepy. She went downstairs and ate her breakfast. Eggs on toast and a strong cup of tea. She then went for a shower and got dressed for school. She did her make-up and styled her hair half-up. She got her bag ready and put her shoes on and headed out the door to meet Ruby. About 30 seconds before she got to the shops to meet Ruby she got stopped by Cole.

"Hey, do you want to meet me and the others after school today" Cole said

"Yeah that's cool with me" Danielle replied

"Okay, I'll get Kurt to pick you up in his car about 3:30pm"

"Sounds good, see you later" Danielle said waving at him as he walked away.

"Hi, what did Cole want" Ruby questioned

"Nothing really, he just wanted to know if I wanted to meet him, Noelle and Kurt after school" Danielle said.

"What did you say" Ruby said

"Well I said Yes" Danielle replied

"What! Why? You know we always meet up after school every Monday, now your ditching me for "Your other friends" Ruby said visibly upset

"I'm sorry. I promise I will make it up to you" Danielle said giving Ruby a big hug.

As soon as they arrived at school they were quiet and it was pretty awkward between them. As soon as they left each other to go to their form rooms Danielle breathed a sigh of relief.

She knew that Ruby was still upset with her and she knew that their friendship was a bit rocky since Noelle and the others came along, but if Danielle could show Ruby why she liked them they could all hang out together. She needed to think of something quick else it could ruin their friendship forever. She thought all morning through her two lessons and she still didn't know how to make it up to Ruby. During her third period Danielle got a message from Noelle.

Noelle-

Hey, do you wanna skip your last two classes and hang out with me and the guys?

Danielle-

Yeah, sounds good. Pick me up outside in about 20 minutes.

As soon as she sent the message she put her phone back into her pocket and smiled to herself she has never skipped school before so she was nervous but also excited. She had a plan in her head there was only really one way out, past the main office. The cafeteria was near the office so if she waited there for the teachers to go in, she could hopefully go past the receptionist without getting caught. After about 10 minutes nearly all the teachers were eating and she saw the perfect opportunity to go. She started to feel a bit more nervous but she had to act normal so they didn't think she was up to anything. She started to walk towards the doors and to her surprise she made it out without anyone stopping her. After she stepped out of the door she heard Kurt and Noelle calling her name. She looked around for a second and saw them in a red Ford. She waved and smiled as she walked over to them.

Ruby's POV-

Ruby came out of her lesson and went to get her food from the cafeteria. She sat down at the table where she and Danielle sat all the time. She waited for about 10 minutes but she couldn't see Danielle anywhere. Danielle never missed her dinner. She messaged Danielle but she didn't get a message back which was strange. Ruby was getting upset as it looked like Danielle ditched her.

Danielle's POV-

Kurt was driving for about 15 minutes until he came to a stop outside a 3-bedroom house. Danielle soon realized it was Noelle's house and she was wondering what they were doing there.

"We are going to be having a house party tonight" Noelle said

"Yeah, we have got to get some more stuff and then set it up. Party starts at 7:30pm and don't worry Noelle has got a dress for you and she will do your make-up aswell" Kurt said

"Aw, thanks Noelle" Danielle replied smiling.

" Don't worry about it" Noelle said

As the boys went to the shops to get the remaining items, Noelle and Danielle started setting up the music and drinks. It was nearly 4:30pm when they finished and Noelle and Danielle needed to get ready if they wanted to welcome their guests and party on time. Danielle and Noelle started doing their hair. Danielle was curling her hair and Noelle started to straighten her hair. After they finished Noelle showed Danielle the dress she was going to be wearing. It was a pink short dress with glitter on the top half and the shoes were pink glitter high heels. Noelle then showed her dress it was a orange floor length maxi dress and it had lace on the top half. She didn't really need to bother about her shoes so she was just going to wear black slip on shoes. It was about 6:00pm when Noelle started to do Danielle's make up. She done her foundation,concealer, bronzer, contour and her eyebrows. She then chose a brown colour for her eyeshadow and lipstick. She then did winged eyeliner and put mascara on for the finishing touch. Noelle then done her make-up and by the time she finished it was almost 7:30pm. They got in their dresses, put their shoes on and went to the door to welcome their guests, which consisted of hugs and laughter. Danielle felt slightly awkward as she didn't know anyone. About an hour after the party started this guy named Tom started talking to Danielle in the kitchen. They got to know each other for a few minutes until Tom asked if she wanted to dance.

"Um...okay sure" Danielle replied

As soon as they made their way into the living room Tom has his hands on Danielle's hips. Danielle felt butterflies in her stomach and she turned to face away from him and started to dance in front of him. He seemed to like it because after a few moments he took hold of Danielle's hand and started to lead her up the stairs to one of the bedrooms. Before they reached the stairs a hand grabbed her. It was Cole.

"Hey man, what are you doing" Tom asked looking angry.

"Just need to talk to her alone, dude" Cole replied as he took Danielle outside

"What are you doing with him" Cole said.

"What do you mean? I was dancing with him and now I'm going upstairs" Danielle said feeling a little tipsy

"You're not going upstairs with him. I know what he's like. He's a bad boy"

"Well it's a good job I like bad boys then" Danielle replied smiling as she went back in.

Cole followed her but as he went back in he saw Danielle and Tom kissing passionately against the wall.

There was no point talking to her she wasn't going to listen, so Cole just went on trying to enjoy the party.
