Within the depths of a certain dungeon in a certain room with a shattered ceiling, there was treasure of all kinds, coins, swords made of different strong materials, priceless necklaces and ornaments, armor sets lined up on the sides of the wall, and many more. Among all the treasure found scattered around the room there was something even more intruiging, it was an orb that lied in the middle of room of treasures.

As big as the head of a three year old toddler, it was an orb of unknown origin. If one could see it in the moonlight that permeated through the cracks and holes of the ceiling they would think it's a normal glass ball lying there with neither a purpose or reason for why it's there.

It reflected the blue light if the moon which made it beautiful to gaze upon. As if it was a jewel made for a god it shone even brighter, sending out splendid streaks of light that spread throughout the room bouncing of the other treasures found within.

As the night went by and dawn broke, the orb continued to remain ever so bright in the room even if the moon has passed hours before, it was like the orb absored the moonlight itself. It never ceased to not glow until...

Hmmm... Hmmm...

From the pile of treasure the glowing orb's light started to fluctuate. It made a sound akin to a person humming. The sound overtime only grew louder and louder and the fluctuations continued to be more frantic as if the orb was going to explode.

Hhhmmmm..........

With it's last hum the noise and it's light died down until it was dead silent and dark.

Whirr!

In an instant it flew out into the dusty air of the room and stopped mid-air, the light that was gone just while ago was back but it didn't fluctuate. It was condensed into a ball of minuature light within the center of the orb and remained dim. The noise that was akin to a hum was now a constant buzz as it floated in the air.

It tried to make some movement in the air but it only looked like someone gave it small nudges. It took a few minutes until it can actually move back and forth without drifting mid-air and finally become stable.

Whirr...Whirr...

The orb, as if it woke up from a nice nap, lazily scanned it's surroundings wondering why it's in a room filled with treasure. It went back down to it's former resting spot in order to take another nap. As it went down to it's treasure pile the orb felt a shock through it's very core. It rose back up suprised due to the sudden feeling and frantically looked around to see if there was someone in there with it.
In the short span of time that it looked around it did not yield any results other than more jewelry and treasure.

The shock came back once again but the orb felt an urge as it was assaulted with the feeling. An urge to go somewhere, a place it finds familiar but has never been to before. After the second shock passed, the orb was now filled with curiosity. It wanted, no, it needed to go to a certain place within the very dungeon it was in. Other than it's curiosity the orb was also scared to experience another shock if it lazed around in the treasure room any longer.

The orb found its way out of the treasure room and went to explore the dark narrow hallways of the dungeon. The only light that was seen was the light of the orb as it floated in a direction.

Throughout it's journey in the dungeon halls there were three encounters the orb had. First was a sentient slime that followed the orb around for a while, it tried to swallow the orb but everytime the orb went in it's mouth it experienced electric shocks and it's senses were fried everytime. This happened over and over again for a few hours until the sentient slime could no longer go on, basically it died a not so tragic but a very idiotic death.
