„Oh I didn't knew that Mark is one of the main riders in the Shredbots Movie!"
"That's because he isn't", Craig said jokingly, "I am."
It was the third person today, who spoke to him about the name "McMorris" on the Shredbots poster, which was released yesterday. It was a tad bit annoying though, that everyone just assumed it must be Mark McMorris who is starring in the movie...
The girl next to Craig was cute and he knew, that she didn't wanted to be mean on purpose, but oh boy, he would kill the next person, who mistakes him for his brother.
Craig excused himself from the girl and tried to find a way through the party crowd to get some fresh air.
They celebrated the Party to announce the release of the very first Shredbot Movie in two months and a lot of their friends and people from the snowboard world were present. It was loud and crowded and exactly the way Craig liked to have a party.
He was only caught twice by various people and could talk his way out of the conversation very easily. When he finally reached the back porch, he let out a deep breath and starred in the sky for a small while.
"Not your typical party face, Craiger Bear", someone spoke behind him.
When he turned around, he saw Torstein sitting in one of the chairs, his hair hidden in a bun and a joint in his hand.
"Not your typical party face either", Craig replied and sat on the chair next to him and accepted the joint with a thanks.
"What's wrong big boy?" Torstein tried again.
The Canadian let cautiously the smoke out of his mouth.
"I love my brother. Really. But apparently it does not come to the mind of people, that I am able to do some awesome snowboarding on my own...."
"Yeah...", the boy next to him answered slowly, "I noticed. Don't let it drag you down though."
"It doesn't. Not really. I get it, Mark is the more talented and more successful one and I swear I am not jealous, but it's bugging me that people...I don't know how to put it. It just annoys me a little what people think about me and compare me to my brother just because we do the same job and sport."
"Craig, you know better than to be affected by the talk of people. And you know that Mark thinks that you are one of the most talented snowboarders as well, right?"
"Ya, I know..."
With a sigh, Craig rubbed his neck.
"So, then stop the self pity, go back inside and announce to the crowd that this is your fucking movie and I am pretty sure, the will celebrate you endlessly."
With a laugh the brunette looked at Torstein, who took another pull of the joint.
"Thanks." He examined the Norwegian for a second. "Are you all right, bud? You don't really seem to be in the right party mood either."
"Ah, I just had a weird...weekend back at home."
"Do you want to talk about it?"
"Nha, everything will be fine sooner or later."
"Ok. Do you wanna come inside then?"
"I'll join you in a couple of minutes."
"Good", Craig said and got up from his chair.
"And Craig", Torstein started to say, when his opponent was already halfway through the door, "I think you are a ridiculously talented snowboarder and it was an honour, to make this movie with you."
"Thanks buddy", the Cannadian grinned and went inside.
"Hey digga, I was already wondering where you are?", Mark announced and threw an arm around his brothers shoulder.
"Just outside having a smoke with Tor," he answered with a wink.
"Oh shit, do you think he has something left?"
"You have to ask him", Craig pointed to the backyard of the house and Mark vanished quickly.
When he entered the bar area and got himself a beer a pretty blonde girl tapped him on the shoulder.
"Hey", he said smiling.
"Hey. You are the older one of the McMorrises, right?"
And here it goes again.
"Yep", Craig answered still with a smile on his face.
"Oh, that is so cool, I am really looking forward to see you in the Shredbots Movie! I think you should have done something like this way earlier."
"Oh my god, do you want to marry me?"
